Tim: Here is a somewhat recent thread on this. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/focus-r48.60834/ I like mine. They won't be for everyone. Bill
Not sure how much you know about it Tim. First of all it has a pivot and second.....uses half DE blades and is not fussy about which ones you use! Once you master fitting the blade ....you really can't go wrong. For me.....close to BBS in 2 passes. It picks up on areas most of my other razors miss!

Sunday SOTN Continuing with the SE festivities I pulled out my closed comb Schick Type C2 with a Chick blade. Only required two full passes with a short third pass at the jaw line and chin with some extra buffing. I must admit, most of the shave sticks are pretty much idiot proof and work pretty well. I have never tried the Speick (as I've read more negative reviews than positive), but the several others I have including Palmolive (used tonight) in general work really well. For wet shavers who haven't tried them, they are awesome and well worth their low prices - plus they make travel shaving easy and quite enjoyable. I may use Mr. Type C2 again tomorrow. Enjoy your night everyone. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
March Madness!! March 3 Razor - Edwin Jagger DE89l Blade - (3) Soap - Oleo Soapworks El Caballero Brush - Stirling 24mm Finest Badger Fan Post - Alum One more shave with the EJ and Big Ben. I grabbe3d the El Caballero from Oleo and got a great lather using the Stirling badger. No complaints about either soap or brush. The blade is getting louder with each shave but still provided a smooth enough three passes to not create any issues. Not quite BBS but it's definitely good enough for a Sunday night. My weekend is here so I'm just happy to be able to say that. Would I buy Big Ben in bulk? Nope. Would I be content to shave with them if I was stranded and they were the only blade I could find? No problem. Same for the razor. The EJ isn't the world's most aggressive or expensive, but it does a very fine job. And it looks good too! Have a great Monday!
MONDAY'S SHAVE "STARTING SPRING EARLY" Razor - Merkur Futur Blade - *Fresh Blade Razor Stand by RV Shaving Shave Brush by Doug Korn's Workshop Brush Stand by Desire Metal Works Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented" Shave Soap - Razorock "Son of Zeus" Vegan Formula Soap Bowl - Vintage Mikasa Mediterrania Sugar Bowl circa 1970's Aftershave - Fine "L'Orange Noir" Post-Shave Balm - Advanced Clinicals Anti-aging Hyaluronic Acid Cream Deodorant - My Pit Butter "Orange" Fragrance - Terre d'Hermes EDT The Merkur Futur is one of my "can't miss" razors that gives a predictable, top-notch shave. I will go with a 2-pass + cleanup and unless something weird happens, you can assume that the shave went as good as it normally does. Very little risk with this set. Terre d'Hermes EDT is a great way to launch into the Spring.
