Tues 5th March Omega 11126 boar Speick Active soap Gem Micromatic - Brass Gem S/S [ 2 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion Get the Angle Right and it does not bite. This Gem has an undeserved reputation for being an overly aggressive Razor. I find that by getting the Angle right and not rushing a Shave, it provides a really smooth comfortable Shave with a great close all round finish. Perhaps those who have mishaps with Razors are pressured for time in the mornings, whilst us retirees have the benefit of not having to rush off to work. I have yet try a Sabre L2, but the Gem has a far superior loading mechanism to the Sabre L1, ATT SE-G, and the PAA Starling

Far better than with the Razorine yesterday. This was my first injector and is still the favorite. Enjoy your day!
Tabac Tuesday's Shave Cold Water Wash Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #220 Gem Feather Weight Gem Blue Star SE CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #220 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Feather Weight razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Perhaps it was beginners luck...but I had absolutely no problem getting a good lather which didn't disappear and the Palmer's sorted any post shave failings. 3 passes for a lovely smooth and close shave

What a great shave tonight. Switching the handle on the General to the ATT added that extra weight I've been missing and really made a difference. Of course the SV soap and Chatillon Lux performed flawlessly and compliment each other so well, I love this scent and so does my fiancee. Have a great evening folks!

Wed 6th March - Williams Wednesday Vulfix404 mixed Williams Mug Soap Gem Micromatic - Bullet Tip Gem S/S [ 2 ] Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion I should really use this Razor more, as the Shave today was extremely relaxing. The Razor shaves very smoothly, forgiving yet efficient and had no problems removing my comparatively heavy growth without fuss. The finish was nice and close all round. For anyone wishing to transition from DE to SE/ Gem Shaving this is an ideal choice as it is quite modern looking, a nice weight and a lot cheaper than the Modern S/S Razors utilising a Gem Blade.
