I don't have a modern one to compare. I read one post indicating these were more aggressive but can't vouch for that. I'd classify the Grafco as mild but effective. No gap.

Soap: Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations A/S: Myrsol F/Extra Bowl: Suribachi Outstanding shave with this setup. I'm loving this brush from DFS. The Envy White knot is probable the best Badger knot I own. The Supply SE worked like a charm to provide an excellent close comfortable shave. I didn't get out for a photo today so I'll use my last shot. I don't think I have done this before.

Mom and son team who made soap as a side hobby and decided that soap business was taking away too much of their time from their normal jobs and family life. Fougère was my 3rd favorite from QCS, with Vostok being #1 and Key Lime #2. Vostok all used up but still have Key Lime and Fougère. Forgot to mention in yesterday post regarding IanS Shaving Soap. Excellent soap that offered a great bang for the buck with wonderful aromas, slick and ease of lather. Downside was he made just small batches at a time. Paid between $4 to $8 for a tub of at least five ounces of shave soap. Same price point as Stirling at the time but heck of a lot easier to lather and he used mostly Essential oils in lieu of fragrance oils. And yes I do like Stilirng soaps just my humble opinion here for those who didn't try Stirling back in 2013-15/16.
