Thanks Terry. Just to set the record straight, the cut on my finger was worse than the 2 cuts on my face. The finger cut is not bad at all. The facial nicks do not look like a big deal. One is tiny and the other looks like a small rash. If I didn't cut my finger due to carelessness while changing the strop, the grade would have been a 94. So, thank you everyone for your concern. I guess my writing made it bigger than what it was.
No shave for me today. Thought I'd leave you with a joke that was sent to me from the 95 year old Mother of Ricky Lee Doye. A Marine I was with in the 60's. A lawyer was trying to console a weeping widow. Her husband had passed away without a will. Did the decreased have any last words? Asked the lawyer. You mean right before he died? Sobbed the widow. Yes replied the lawyer. They might be helpful if it's not to painful for you. Well, she began, he said, Don't try to scare me! You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door with that gun.
Thank you Jason! I started as a face latherer mostly because I was inexperienced and tried to make lather in an Old Spice mug. Too small and it's meant to hold a puck for loading only. Coffee mugs didn't work any better. Since I wasn't enamored with old style shaving mugs, and I'm still not quite sure how you make lather in the upper small dish with drain holes I've never tried them. Read a thread about suribachi bowls and I'm hooked. First was a little small, current two are just right and unless I'm just feeling weird and want to face lather 95% or more lathers are created in a bowl. Just the opposite here Bruce. Way back to Decadent December of '17 here with the 30 DC my Focus was lather. That's How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Lather. Load heavy, don't worry about too much leftovers. I have yet to finish a tub of soap, though some samples did get fully consumed. Slowly adding water to my soap saturated brush in a bowl works for me every time I do it. Even Modern Williams. I've tried face lathering but I get inconsistent hydration, too thick to start and thin & runny by the end. Not saying anyone's wrong, but the bowl works for me. Thank you Andrew!
“Does what’s happened keep you from acting with justice, generosity, self-control, sanity, prudence, honesty, humility, straightforwardness, and all other qualities that allow a person’s nature to fulfill itself? So remember this principle when something threatens to cause you pain: the thing itself was no misfortune at all; to endure it and prevail is great good fortune.” Marcus Aurelius Stay strong. Do the right thing. It hurts, but dust yourself off and move on.

Hallalelujah! Praise the Lord! I am so happy for you Andrew! Now, you will have it easier and you will be home at a decent hour. Congratulations!
From Andrew getting a job to shipping issues-just saw an announcement of a USPS shipping holdup in effect for parts of today and tomorrow. I fear the shipment of my SoapExchange product(Lumberjack Shave Soap)is in this mix.
Short answer yes. I do plan to use it again at some point but won't even try a face lather with it until I've done a bowl lather or two.
