Big Chopper Time. This Big wedge gave a very very smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. It was also buttery smooth ATG. Lovely blade to work with.

Razor- George Wostenholm & Sons. Celebrated I*X*L Razor. Washington Works, Sheffield.
Brush- RazoRock 400, WD HM Badger
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood Scented

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #220 brush. I did two passes with the J.A. Henckels 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yesterday’s shave, CVH 7/8 MK 144, soap was I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a Tulip 2 and a little IC balm finished up. It doesn’t get much better.

Today’s shave, user-grade Filly 14, soap was MdC original lathered with a Simpsons 58, and a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica topped it all off. Smooth as a baby dolphin!

Another refreshed blade - now shaving a half notch higher than before. I promptly muted the point after it traced a fine line by my ear on the first stroke. :shocked003:

Very relieved that the last two weeks working on these scales wasn’t a waste... the Coticule edge came out very comfortable and efficient.

Took the big wedgy 7/8 Manhattan for a ride this morning, cream was AdP lathered with a TOBS Silvertip, the AS balm was also AdP. It shaved very well indeed, but TBH it isn’t a Filly 14 or a Tanifuji. Still, it’s a good performer and is a lot of fun to shave with. I’m going to have to calculate the bevel angle, might need to pull that Scotch 77 and re-hone it.

    Cheers, Steve

    I'm following Joseph on Sundays.

If there is anything that could be labeled as the Max Headroom Signature Shave, this is it.

Brut being my favorite lifetime scent, (stop laughing, YOU), I had been in search of substitutes. These are pretty good.

The Wholly Kaw lather isincredible, on a part with Stirling mutton tallow for performance. Is it worth the premium, no but I'd buy it cause I can!

I love the Simpson Super Badger brush, wish I have gotten the Emperor 3 even though the size of the 2 is sufficient. Again, cha ching, cash register again.

The Dovo Sunday Shaver is an incredible value. This one shaves just a little better than my other one, so I use it sparingly so I have a target as I develop my honing skills. Shoulderless, extra hollow grind 5/8, Dovo doesn't share this blank with anyone else.

La Fougere Parfaite, aftershave is awesome. Close to Brut, but with a little menthol makes it superior to me. Lasts a bit longer than Brut.

The deodorant, skip it. Wayoverpriced and not as effective as the Brut deodorant stick. Nowhere near the effectiveness of the original Stirling offering also a 'natural' deodorant.
