I really do like the ERN family of razors... and there are quite a bunch of brands. :)

The Dark Side runs strong in you. I thought about it, but, if the time comes, and I can no longer steadily wield a SR , I will have plenty of DE razors and blades to choose from. as well as SE razors and Injectors.

I am keeping my '41 Ranger Tech, my 2011 R41 and to travel, my Weishi. What more do I need?

Blades, lots of DE blades. I snatched up a good supply of vintage blades. Wilkinson Sword Super Sword, and Gillette Spoilers are my favorites.

That W&B is indeed delicious @CastleShave - it’s a hollow ground, and the wedgies this wide are just heavier than I really like. This one must be a joy to shave with!

Today’s shave was a test of an edge from a Shapton 7 Series Glass Stone, 0.44 microns or about 30k grit. The razor is a worn Hayashi, s great shaving razor. It did very well, I’m BDBS in 2 passes. The edge is smooth and cuts effortlessly and closely, but maybe is not as forgiving as a good jnat edge, but not much is. I could see this being the ultimate travel kit touchup hone, super fast, super fine, and small but plenty big enough to hone a straight razor.

Cream was SMN lathered with a TOBS Silvertip, and a splash of Myrsol AB left me smooth and smellin’ good!
