As I tried out a DE yesterday, I thought when getting back to an AC/SE rotation I should try something different, the difference
being a change of blade. For quite some time my favoured blade has been the Schick Proline, and as I know the Feather Pro is a good blade I ought to try it out again, especially as I have a few packs.

Not having used the blade for a long time , I deliberately reduced the speed of my initial strokes to get the feel of the Razor /Blade combo. This proved to be a good move, as the Shave proved to be very smooth and comfortable , and the quality of the finish quite
exceptional. I think retrying theFeather Pro in some of my other Razors might be a good idea , will help reduce my blade cache.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The TSD Cool Lime Shaving Soap face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom brush. I did two passes with the Starling SE razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Soap: MDC Agrumes
Post Care: Stirling Unscented Witch Hazel
    Alum
    Aftershave: Shave Ship Armada Blossom

I had a pretty good shave tonight. I pulled out the WildWest brush tonight (Go Buckeyes) and it easily whipped up a beautiful lather. Everything was going great until the blade touched my face. Now, this blade isn't horrible but compared to the Feather Pro it isn't in the same league. The alum at the end of the shave told the story, I felt some burn here and there where with the Feather the alum was silent. The shave ended beautifully, the Armada Blossom is wonderful, I wish this was still in production. Overall a decent shave, we'll try another blade next shave. Have a great day folks!

    Vulfix 404 Mixed
    Tabac Soap
ES Claymore V1 & Ikon Bulldog Handle
    Schick Proline [ 10 ]
    Tabac A/S Lotion

Yesterday I shaved with a Razor + Fresh Blade, today I used the Claymore with a blade on its 10th outing. Contrary to expectations todays Shave was just as smooth and comfortable as yesterday, and the all round finish better.

This Razor/Blade combo maybe on the heavy side for some, but with a light touch you can use that weight to power through the stubble. I think you either get on with heavy AC/SEs and utilise their weight , or you veer towards the use of the lighter aluminium ones or the likes of the Vector or Paradigm which are currently very popular.

Have loaded the Mongoose with a Feather Pro, a blade I have not used much in it. An excellent start as my newish brush produced
a rich creamy lather from the Vitos, which help deliver a really smooth and comfortable Shave. It is not often the case but without seeming to try i have ended up with another Shave of the Face Stroking variety.
