Wonderful photo, Clint! I'm with you on the 3dot plate. I don't think the trade off is worth it. I don't have many shaves with the 3dot so I'll revisit for adjustable April. Don't know if a razor with different plates qualifies as an adjustable but I'm going to call it an adjustable. Wishing the best for Maya. I hope everything goes smoothly this afternoon. March 11, 2019 Razor: Soviet Travel Razor Blade: Voskhod (1) Brush: VdH Boar Soap: Der Vergulde Hand Post: Alum, Listerine, WH For today's shave, I went with another razor that I hadn't used before- a Soviet travel razor which I received as a prize in the last TSD raffle. This is a four-piece razor which was generously donated by @Enrico. It appears to be a well-made razor and not at all scary like some of the Instruments Of MAYhem manufactured in the Soviet Union which our Fearless Leader has used. To me, this seemed to be a mild but very efficient razor with lots of blade rigidity; overall, I'd say that the feel was much like an Old Type. Two passes and a near-enough BBS with no issues or irritation.
Thank you Jim. I am glad I wasn't the only one feeling that way about the 3 dot plate. I don't mind it being more aggressive but I wanted it to be more efficient as well. I might or might not switch back to the 2 dot plate for the rest of the week. Thanks Jim. Maya is a pretty tough young lady so I am sure she'll be fine. I just hope the doctors are able to provide her some relief from the pain.
Thank you, Bruce! Wholly Kaw definitely has some fantastic scents. A few misses, too. But when they rock, they rock.
Danny, great shave and post! Yesterday, I was 600 posts behind, but I am caught up so I know how it is. Have a great day my friend!
