Very cool. I don’t blame you at all. My big problem with the Hemel is the lack of lumes.

Back home now after a few days away. I’m looking forward to catching up with the thread a bit today. Had a nice shave earlier this morning and I’m getting nice lathers from the Valobra. Not my favourite fougere, but pleasant enough. The Red Tip and PermaSharp did away with 2 days growth very easily this morning and I am quite smooth. This Fern makes a good partner for the soap as well.
    Have a great day, all!

Great pic, Perry! Glad to hear the performance of the splashes is top notch as well.
Sounds like the new scent is a hit, Jim. Congrats. A very neat write up as well.
Another great pic, Jim. One pas CCS? Well done!
Glad the first injector shave went well, Danny. I find Schick Injectors very intuitive and a joy to use. Other Injectors (the PAL Injectomatic comes to mind) are not as intuitive, imho, but still produce good shaves. Which blades are you using?
Sounds like a fun day yesterday, Charlie. Congrats on the house as well. When the finishing trades are doing things like putting in fixtures and appliances, it seems like there is light at the end of tunnel!
Wonderful photo again, Clint. I could look this up, but what is the difference between 400s that say 3 on them vs the ones that say 4? I though they were all the same size?
The General looks to be a very high quality razor, Doug. Another fantastic pic as well.
Tobacco Tuesday is often a thing for me as well, Joseph. I had never heard of Lee Sabini before today. Thanks for the info.

Thank you, Jason. While lathering my face this morning I was wondering why the scent was so familiar. It took a few minutes to put it together. My dad was only nineteen years old when he started that job. I showed up a week later on his twentieth birthday.

Those are good blades. Check out Personna and Schick Proline blades also. Personna blades are a little sharper than the yellow Schick blades, in my opinion, with the Proline being the sharpest of those three. Then of course there are tons of options in vintage blades. Andrew's Shave Shop (run by @Linuxguile) is a wonderful place to get injector blades.

I have got to place an order with Andrew in the future. I need some SE blades and I'll pick up the Schick Proline blades that you mentioned as well. We need to do business with Andrew @Linuxguile when we can. He has some hungry little boys to feed. Thanks for the recommendation Perry.

    Day 74.

It was a pretty good, not quite great shave with the Mockba/Schick G5 combo. Didn't feel quite as smooth today. I think the lather was just not quite there. I've only used this soap once or twice before, and that was with a safety razor. I'll give it a couple more tries eventually to see if I can get better out of it. Otherwise, out it goes. Nice enough scent though.
