RazoRock Tuscan Oud today. 20 seconds to load the Bethlehem Olivewood/Whipped Dog High Mountain brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Gillette Platinum-Plus in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with RazoRock Tuscan Oud aftershave.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with T-400 Silvertip brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Techmatic razor with a Techmatic Band SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

So all of the discussions of Progress vs Mergress on one of the forums got me reaching for my Progress this morning. I am fortunate to own a Mergress also that came up in rotation just a little while back. Quite enjoying the Kai Super Stainless lately so I went with that in the Progress. Soap of the day was the venerable Proraso Red, love the scent of this Sandalwood. Lovely two pass near BBS shave followed up with Blackstone Sandalwood balm and some English Laundry Notting Hill to keep the light Sandalwood scent going. Going to be a long day so I’m glad for the great start and shave. Happy shaves all!
