I should have trademarked that pose. Hehehe. Yes, they can be tricky to load if there's not a loaded blade.

Except for Injectors and, and Repeaters, I don't see a whole lot of improvment going on in razor design since 1907....and they weren't improvments...But were equally as effective and ingenious.

    Soap: Barrister and Mann Roam
Post Care: Stirling Unscented Witch Hazel,

Aftershave: Chatillon Lux La Quatrieme Ville

Fantastic shave tonight. My B-400 easily whipped up a wonderful lather and its glorious scent filled the bathroom. I love this soap. The Pro Guard blade performed perfectly again tonight; no irritation and the alum was silent. This and the Pro are at the top of the list right now. The Chatillon Lux finished off this great shave. Have a great evening folks!

Great shave today. The little Ever Ready 415 travel brush was great with the Tabac for Tuesday.

    Williams Wed - 20th March

    Vukfix 404 mixed
    Williams Mug Soap
    Supply V1 & V2 - No3 Plate
    Schick - Chick [ 6 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

Of all the Razors that I have owned this is the one that took the most getting used to. Now it provides a very smooth Shave, and a not at all bad finish provided that I work for it, as even on the most aggressive plate it is quite mild.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    T-400 Silvertip
    Gillette Techmatic
    Techmatic Band
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with T-400 Silvertip brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Techmatic razor with a Techmatic Band SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    RazoRock Syn. 22mm
    Cyril Salter Solid Soap
    Schick E2- Canada WW2 issue
    Schick - Japan [ 6 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

The E2 Is more aggressive than the Supply used yesterday, but I actually enjoy the blade feel, which helps chart the progress of a Shave. The Shave was still very comfortable with a nice close finish.

I'm a little confused about the Schick injector razors. I have been using one that I think someone here said they thought it was a G1 and I think I might have acquired a E but I'm not sure. Do they open up to remove blades for cleaning? The little springy thing underneath seems to have a tab in the middle or edges and I can't get it to move. Or were there only very few that were able to open? I really like the shave and blade feel of my Schicks.

Razor: Colonial Razor The General Stainless
    Blade: Feather Pro Super
Brush Handle: B-400 The Brush by Tom
    Knot: APShaveCo Tuxedo
    Soap: Martin de Candre Original
Post Care: Stirling Unscented Witch Hazel
    Alum
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Champs de Lavande
    Fragrance: Wet Shaving Products Lavenderwood

I received a sample of WSP's Lavenderwood EDP so I decided to go full lavender for this shave and am I glad I did. This was the first shave with my newly acquired SS General and I couldn't be happier. I think I found my new daily driver. This razor has everything I love about the aluminum General and the one thing it was missing; weight. It has nice balance and feels great in the hand. Matched up with the Feather Pro my beard didn't stand a chance. My brush easily whipped up the MDC into a wonderful lather. There was zero feedback from the alum and the Chatillon Lux left my face feeling nourished and refreshed. To top it off the WSP Lavenderwood has a wonderful scent; lavender and cedar with a little patchouli and musk. It was a fantastic shave. Have a great day folks!

The E2 has a movable spring that allows the head to open for cleaning. There is an E2 that has an non-movable spring, but the guard bar is not grooved. If the springs have tabs on the sides and grooved guard bar, it is an E3. If there are no tabs on the sides of the spring it is some kind of G.
