    Joseph, you and I are the newbies in using traditional straights, but your taste in shaving gear far exceeds mine. I have the same experience with my #17 Friodur. It really is a 1st class straight.

    Danny, rumor is it you don’t have a Chubby 2. I thought at the very minimum, everyone had a Paladin, a Chubby 2, and a Thater 2 band as a starter set. What gives?

    Every one is doing well.
    I tried to go through some posts while in the waiting room, uh, hard to do. But everyone is home, the grandson is here watching cartoons and doing fine. Every one else, including the newborn is napping.

    This morning shave was a 2 pass head and face, needed it to last all day. I have been trying for a great 1 pass and doing quite well with that. Seeing as I was going to have some time to shave, I tried the 2 pass. Now if I forget to add that I used a new Feather blade, every time, just add that to my post. I set out the razor to use at night, then forget to mention it.
    So what was the outil du jour?
    Well, I picked a Gilette Flair Tip.
    No real reason other than it has been under used but is a great shaver.
    How was the two pass, great. No issues, but the alum told the story, a small stinging on the neck, not bad but there it was. Funny thing about alum, only stings after it sits a while, maybe I need to wash it off??

    Oh well, that's where I'm at.
    Got the same flair tip loaded for the Friday morning shave.
