Just like downtown. This heavy razor is like wiping off your whiskers, just lay it on your cheek and drive. Have a good one.

    Supporting Vendor
    SOTD -
    Razor - Iwasaki Kamisori
    Strop - Kanayama
Uberlather - as seen plus 5 drops of Glycerin but it is Unobtainium
    Brush - ShaveMac 26mm Horn
    A/S - Bulgari Man Balm

This Uberlather combo is the top face friendly one I have ever made, unfortunately, Escential in Portland stopped making it.

Really exceptionally CCS with this set up.

Fine 1st shave with the little Japanese Sculpt razor won in the TSD raffle.

Chose the little Simpson, but used a big bowl to honor the 'Dry Soap Gang' by whipping up the wet puffy perfection of the springtime Bergamot Lavender.

Found the razor to be shave ready as described by the most generous doner @Briscoedescribed. I find the lightweight of a small 4/8 to require a but more attention to make sure you are on angle. The low weightalso needs a more deliberate and touch sensitive stroke in use. Easier to strop. Shaved as well as any of my other straights. I probably get on a low grit pastedbalsa strop to smooth it out a little more.

Alum was at the correct level. Finished with a little smear ofTrumpers Lime Skin Food. Thenthe Mentholated Bergamot Lavender AS (coulda wentGlacial on this one).

    Great shave. Be well!

Dovo Bismark 6/8” carbon steel Dovo full hollow

Today I honed my Bismark twice and set a new bevel. One before starting shaving and rehoned before atg. I’v learned that I had to do very little pressure while honing and progressively less pressure. As a result a most confortáble two pass BBS shave and ... ª cut in my hear lobe
    I’v just loved this shaving!!!

Absolutely fantastic late night shave. First time with this soap and after “overloading” it with water for the second pass the lather and slickness just exploded. I’d like a stronger aroma but I think this is going to be a preferred soap. Anyhow, the blade was like magic - just a wonderful experience all the way around. :happy036:

Nothing like a razor who’s trademark is a man with a full beard :)... must be the “before” shot.

My Bismarck is a joy to shave with an a pleasure to hone.

Is that a new addition? I put in the order last year and I think it’s in his current batch he’s working on. So how does it shave?

Easter Sunday shave, one of a pair of Joseph Rodgers in original ivory, PSO, cream, and balm were Floris 89, and a TOBS brush mixed the magic.

This morning’s shave started off in the shower with I Coloniali bath soap, with a user-grade King Pelican 14 doing the razor honors. A Keyhole 4 lathered up some IC Softening Rhubarb Cream, and IC balm finished off a great shave.

    Cheers, Steve
