Hey gents. I've been scarce the last couple of days. I love all the SOTD photos with the beautiful watches included. I'm definitely not the only watch nut 'round these parts. :)

As expected, stellar shaves with the Weber continue. A couple of days ago, @Edison Carter and others discussed how some gents shave by going over the same area multiple times without re-lathering. I'm guilty. Yesterday, I made a concerted effort NOT to do this. I went for three easy passes with gradual reduction on each pass instead of trying to remove 80% on the first pass and finishing up on the second. One of the YouTube shavers calls the second the money pass. (I still find myself taking small repeat strokes under my nose and around my mouth...need to work on this.) The end result was fantastic - more relaxing, super close, long-lasting and nary a smidgen of irritation. This was a nice change-up from my normal two-pass shave.

I have one more Lord Stainless blade to use, and then I'll go back to the SRX with a Feather blade or three. Feathers were my one and only brand of blade for several years until @NCoxSTL introduced me to wonderfully smooth Russian steel awhile back. Now I keep a wider mix of DE blades in deep storage.

Great news to report...we accepted a verbal offer on our home. If everything goes as planned, we'll have a signed contract sometime this week and a mid-May closing. The buyers approached us, and we've been talking with them off and on for awhile. We never even put a sign in the front yard or an ad in the paper. We've been really blessed by how this all came about, and we definitely give God all the credit. The timing is perfect.

Thanks Jim. We should have just enough time to move, unpack, and get our current home all cleaned up and ready for closing. We're excited, as are the prospective owners. We still have to get the contract signed this week, so we're not quite there yet.

If that's not enough good news, I'm wearing new size 36 jeans today. First time in a LOOOOOOONG time. I still need to drop a few pounds before the waist is completely comfortable, but I'm almost there. I plan to retire a couple of pairs of size 38 Levi's...they're well broken in, and I'm going to miss them. These new jeans are gonna need about 500 washes to become my new old friends. I don't pay extra for ripped, frayed, and stained jeans. I do this myself over time to jeans that actually look new when I get them. :)

side note..the new deluxe with a spoiler is a fantastic shaver..face feels incredibly smooth.. with the paa doppelganger set up ,face feels like i did nothing, but the whiskers are missing, this new deluxe could easily become my favorite razor , and thats a hard decision for me as i love all my old gillettes..must find a nickel/silver one ..thanks for listening to my rambling on..

Great news on the old homestead Charlie!

I should try Feathers in the R21. I binned a GSB after 3 shaves & could have done at least 1 more. I used a Personna prep blade that got me on the 2nd use because I was using more pressure cause it should have been tossed after 1. The difference in the 2 was noticeable, GSB was wonderfully keen
