Thanks Clint!. I just took my sweet time and didn't need to chase the baby! I am maturing in my straight razor career that I don't have to have BBS every time. It's knowing that I can get one at any time that is important.

Fine 1st shave with the little Japanese Sculpt razor won in the TSD raffle.

Chose the little Simpson, but used a big bowl to honor the 'Dry Soap Gang' by whipping up the wet puffy perfection of the springtime Bergamot Lavender.

Found the razor to be shave ready as described by the most generous doner @Briscoe described. I find the lightweight of a small 4/8 to require a but more attention to make sure you are on angle. The low weight also needs a more deliberate and touch sensitive stroke in use. Easier to strop. Shaved as well as any of my other straights. I probably get on a low grit pasted balsa strop to smooth it out a little more.

Alum was at the correct level. Finished with a little smear of Trumpers Lime Skin Food. Then the Mentholated Bergamot Lavender AS (coulda went Glacial on this one).

    Great shave. Be well!

Edison, you got a nice gem! Great shave and review. I have heard that a 4/8 razor needed a lighter touch and the shaver had to be spot on with the angle. I would surmise that if one was a Dovo shavette user, then one wouldn't have too much trouble adapting to the razor. Also, the 4/8 is supposed to be easier to shape your facial beard, goatee, etc.

Gary, great shave! I hate to be the calendar police, but next Sunday is March 31st which is the last Sunday of this month.

I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! Ok, maybe that is too cheesy coming from a native NY'er. I can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive in my neck of the woods. We had a nice winter in NY, so I can't complain.

I don't shave my mustache, but think 4/8 would be better there. Also if you do sculpting work. Really easy to see around.

Wolfman WR 1 SS OC (0.61mm) with Triad Ti

    SOC Taj Mistura

Shaved earlier today with a evening post. This Wolfman is not quite as efficient as my other Wolfman but it is smoother. The SOC Taj Mistura really ate through the MW Vetiver & Oakmoss soap. The mixed knot is really a joy face lathering. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. Enjoyed a very relaxing day riding. It was nice to get back on the bike after so long. I hope every one had a great Sunday.
