    AoS Sandalwood~~Declaration Grooming B5/Thäter Beehive~~Dovo 6/8
    SR #51

Took some advice from a couple of our members today.
Steeper angle around the chin and smaller areas with skin stretching.
The difficulty, I find around the chin is: where to stretch?
Then there is the slickness, that hinders stretching. Oy Weh!
Today was better in that region, not nearly as much blood. ;)
The AoS sandalwood smells wonderful. The cream is very soft and develops into a very slick lather.
I bowl-lathered it today with the DG B5. Heckuva brush.

Supposed to receive a bunch of new gear today. Except for the brush, all were acquired in trades.
The brush is a M&F Finest Victorian I

I am excited about this one. My M&F brushes, (all are pre-Sears) are right up at the top of my stable.
    This handle looks very comfortable.
Also receiving a Wholly Kaw Man of Mayfair (Tallow) and...
    Two Noble Otter soaps.

All are products I have never tried before.
    But I digress...
The Dovo 6/8 performed well today; even around the chin. It's like trying to saw through tree trunks,
so course are the hairs in this area.
Results were approaching DFS. BBS? BBS??!! :happy097:
LONG way away. Not even in the same hemisphere at this point.

I am anticipating needing a MINIMUM of 100 SR shaves before I come close.
Despite my wife giving the thumbs down to this product, she never even mentioned it this morning.
Probably because she's so preoccupied with work and school.
    I smell...

    great! :)
  2. Great looking gear this morning, Joseph. Love the Beehive!
Congrats on the new acquisitions, the brush is beautiful and I'm a fan of Wholly Kaw and Noble Otter.
I have three razors incoming, all vintage believe it or not. They'll take my vintage collection up to four!

  3. Joseph, great review! When I shave the chin, I stretch at the side of the chin under the corner of the mouth going in the horizontal plane. When I shave the area where the side chin meets the jawline, I perform a slanted stroke ATG. Disclaimer: This may not work because your beard may grow differently than mine. Good Luck!

  12. Finished off my "threefer" of Barbasol and Stephan Bay Rum this morning. I might experiment with the Stephan this summer, but it may work best with the Gillette Foamy Menthol(I still have a few shaves left with that, although it spent the winter in the back of my "Den". ). Aa for soaps, I have a lot of the two Razorocks(Lime Burst and Acqua)left. Neither are "freezing", but they should be comfortable with help of Skin Bracer(Lime Burst)and Aqua Velva(Acqua).

  13. What does everyone think a Fuzzy Friday would be?

I was thinking a Fuzzy Friday would be soaking a puck of Williams starting Thrusday night and then using the saturated Williams and a two sided thangie Friday morning. Second, option would be to take Friday off , go fishing and enjoy yourself.....Fuzzy style!

  14. Your first guess reminds me of an X friend of mine who prepared his morning coffee the night before. (Maybe he still does).

  19. Good Wednesday morning everyone.
Mondays shave was great but still no pictures, gonna have to talk to someone about that. Tuesday was a looser, no shave, sick as a dog. I have a cold that has been dogging me now since Sunday, yesterday seemed to be the worst of it.
Today has been declared Willams Wednesday by Fuzzy and to celibrate, I found my one and only puck of the
traditional soap. Now just using a soap like this would not do it justic if I didn't use the appropriate tools.
So I used the GEM Junior with a SS Personna GEM blade, an Omego #48 bore brush, a vintage shaving mug and Clubman Pinaud AS.
A 2 pass shave was in order to rid me of the growth that had taken over my face like weeds in an forgotten garden plot. No issues but the alum was louder than I like, need to ease up on the neck. Used only one blade, might have to try some 2 blade shaves sometime, but the blade seemed sharp on the second pass. The head shave was great, no issues. The after shave was cool and nice, a slight sting on a part of the neck, need to up my game there with the GEM Jr.
All in all a great shave.

Haven't got through the last 2 days of posts yet.
I shaved with my good eye open, the eyebrows are nice but bushy, and I can still hear out of my left ear...
Just in case you were wondering.
    ;)
    Thanks
    To every one
    Enjoy.

  20. Good advice, Joe, thank you.
