Starting tomorrow, my family and I will be on a week long vacation in Texas! Planning on going to the nascar weekend, we are going to catch the ranger/astros game and a few other touristy things. We are excited and can’t wait to have some fun!
Enjoy the trip. The easiest way to not stick out is to say hello to everyone, talk to their person at the register when paying for anything, and smile a lot.
Also, take time to admire the Bluebonnets! As others have suggested, smile, say hello, in general just be nice, oh, and if you have never done it, eat at Whataburger.
Solid advice. Also, pack for weather in the 40’s & 80’s. Pack for wet weather and dry weather. You can experience all 4 seasons in 4 days of the same week while you’re here. You probably won’t be too far from Dublin, where they made Dr. Pepper...
When you see that guy or gal in cowboy boots, pearl button collar shirt and jeans, big ole belt buckle, and hat - pay attention and be polite. They may also be open carrying which is legal in Texas if you are a law abiding citizen.
