Will hopefully receive tomorrow a New SC. Been enjoying the New De Luxe so thought I should try a New SC.

Indeed. The geometry of the New Deluxe is very much like the Long Comb where the SC is a completely different animal. The more rigid design of the SC works better for a lot of us, especially ATG in tough areas.

A 24mm SHD Two Band fan knot from Maggards in addition to the brush handle and the epoxy to set the knot.

Hopefully I don't screw this up. But we all learn lessons the hard way.

Those are "A Thing" right now. More knot makers have started making fans, the Super High Density part ought to cure floppy. And it's a 2 band? The more I read, the more I think that's the badger knots I'd enjoy. I'm still more a boar user so far.

I hear you. Two band is nice, and I like my boars, Semogue and Omega. It's should be 24/48 after it's set. That alone should prevent floppy, but the more backbone the better.
