I'm in for the brownish-red one, please. Little known fact: The Eurode Business Center is a business park in Herzogenrath (Germany) and Kerkrade (Netherlands). It sits right on top of the border. You might work in an office on the Dutch side and go to the toilet 10 meters away in Germany (or vice versa) without knowing it. Closeby I knew a guy whose house was in Germany and his garden in Holland. Before the EU, he was obliged to go to the nearest border crossing then go to his garden from there. He never bothered. True story that.

New Amsterdam was founded in 1625, when a settlement was established by the Dutch West India Company. Later in 1644 the English took over New Amsterdam and renamed it New York (after the Duke of York). I hope that counts as a fun fact.
Great PIF! I'm in, thank you. I'd be up for either color. The Pesse Canoe was found in 1955 during the construction of the Dutch A28 motorway. It's believed to be the oldest boat, and certainly the oldest canoe. Carbon dating indicates that it was made between 8040BCE and 7510BCE.
Not in, though I'm curious how you rate the efficiency or aggression of this maker as compared to other DE razors. A fuzzy Dutch fact; Dutch traders bought Manhattan Island for 60 Guilders (around US$24) of trade goods and glass beads from American Indians. There's some question as to which tribe sold the island. Indians from a neighboring isle may have taken payment for land they didn't own. It was a number of years later before a Bill of Sale was recorded. One of my Dutch ancestors was on the second boatload of settlers to reside in the settlement of New Amsterdam, later renamed New York.

Even after 3 weeks with the same blade (Personna Lab Blue)! I'm a most privileged, spoilt, lazy son of a gun... Apart from having a cold and sneezing my heart out, that is. Two shaving related Netherlands trivia items for me extra entry, if you please: 1) born in the Netherlands, Van Gogh's ear was not removed by the painter, nor was he the victim of local schoolboy's vicious attacks. Rather, it was lacerated in an unfortunate straight razor shave by his local barber, who was distracted trying to turn up the shop radio when his favorite song came on...Don Mclean's ""Vincent".
