    That is a sweet razor.

You have started me on the search for a similar Lund, I have yet to find one so I am living vicariously through you.

I bought a SK-3 and then sent it off to the straight razor spa. I just received a postcard the razor is feeling great and on its way home. To celebrate:

Oldie but Goodie: This hefty 7/8" Sheffield wedge from Marshes & Shepherd 'Pond Works' dates from around 1840-50. The company had been making razors since the early 19th century, but really hit their stride as razor/knife makers "Exporters to America" by mid-century. This is probably my HEAVIEST razor—the blade a thick wedge-cut slab of Sheffield steel with a not-so-subtle 'barber's notch in the nose. A curved aluminum plate was added somewhere in this razor's long history to reinforce the wedge end. Original black horn scales and decorative washers. L'Occitane 'Cade' soap, large badger brush and Ogallala 'Bay Rum' to finish. Have a blessed SUNDAY, gents, as we say 'good-bye' to MARCH!

Careful! Pamper those razors too much and they'll start developing a haughty attitude of entitlement!

All the Herders on display brought mine to mind. At the advice of @Billyfergie I used my white Arkie as my choice to refresh it. Excellent shave - it’s taken me a while to warm to the stainless steel but I think I’m over that now. :happy036:

Nothing new today, but hard to beat! St Joanis frameback, Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere cream lathered with Simpsons 58, and a bit of AdP CB balm to finish up.

BTW, AdP has revamped its shaving line, and the Collezione Barbiere is no more - shame, it’s a very nice light scent, sort of like an upscale AOS Ocean Kelp. The new cream though is Colonia! I’m going to have to have a tub....
