Vintage Williams is not the same as the Modern formulation. I think even Joseph @Primotenore and Fuzzy @wchnu would agree on that. Those salvaged from the wreck should be getting hard to find, but stuff made 30-50 years ago has a very different lather result from the current formula. Bush's seems to think grilling beans are a good thing. I first learned about frijoles negros at a Taco Bell in Costa Rica. They have replaced kidney beans in my chili (Yes, I do have beans in my chili and serve it over rice.) and make great refried beans.
Yes, it is Keith! My 5 non-vintage straights are 2 6/8 Spanish point Austs, 2 5/8 round point Dovos and 1 5/8 round point Böker. I would definitely say my small 10 piece straight razor collection is quite eclectic for this newbie! Lol! Yes, the Dark side is fun!
Thanks Stephen From one head shaver to another, I try to get 2 of each razor that I like. I have 3 flaretips, nice razors. Enjoy tp
Thanks Danny! It has been a great month of shaving! In fact, I would say it was the best month ever in my life!
Show off! All I need is some bank account number and we can do wire transfers. Show off! Cookies are too cheap for this bunch.
It is different. The shaves are the same though. Nothing at all wrong with modern Williams! @Primotenore is a light weight Williams guy though. I think he only uses vintage. That is no fun at all.
No way to keep up with the thread the last week. We had a great trip to Disney World. It took Wilson a day or two to get adjusted and we decided to alter our schedule some to make sure he could get a nap in the afternoon. His nighttime sleep was shorter than usual and he was overtired. So we adjusted and it worked really well. Wonderful trip and lots of memories! I used this setup from Monday through Saturday. Used the American Blend once and Speick the other days. Didn't shave today. It was hot and sunny so I used a good bit of sunscreen. Just went with a one pass shave and most were easy CCS. Great time overall, but glad to be home. Not looking forward to returning to work and reality tomorrow, but I guess that's how it goes. Fill me in if I missed anything monumental over the past week.
Glad you had a wonderful vacation, Perry! Adjustable or Arko April is the new theme starting tomorrow.
Lighting is gonna strike... that's what is going to happen right here. There has got to be a better name...but you are correct on the blooming. I bet he drives a Yaris too. I hear a Custom title brewing too. Sigh.... no chunky red head?
