  1. The Prime Directive for the Cartel is actually to engage actively with non-traditional shavers and convert them WITH PREJUDICE to our way of thinking and shaving! The benefit of continuing to add new members? When the current members get old and senile (or older and senile-er) we'll have people who can remember why we're here!
  2. Carry on.
  3. not sure what its made from but its heavy, weighs 6.34 oz, like the aluminum rr 400, so could be aluminum..not an actual trailer hitch ball but looks like one ..the knot is fantastic..
  4. Let's see. Arko. Check. Voskhod. Check. Fatboy AND a shavette. Double Check. LE brush. Check. The Cartel is not just pleased, it is ecstatic! True class from the great State of Colorado.
  5. awesome set up and pic sir..

  7. April ARKO & Adjustables!

ARKO with a dash of AS
    Semogue 1305 boar brush
    Suribachi bowl, cool water
    Ming Shi 2000s, Personna
    Pinaud Citrus Musk AS/EdC
SOTD 04012019.gif Adulterated my tubbed ARKO stick with a couple drops of Lime for a slightly altered scent - lemon lime. Easy lather in the bowl with my well broken in prize from The Shavey's via Randy @BaylorGator. Using one of the few razors I purchased new though it's a clone of the Merkur Futur & a blade of unknown uses received in trade through John @John Ruschmeyer all facets aligned. Aided by Proper Technique and a fearless disregard for my own personal safety I set the DE to maximum setting of 6 and performed 3-1/2 passes. I did briefly consider changing out the Lab Blue blade on my first WTG stroke. Caution to the wind I held steady and completed the reduction. Great success with no errors ensued. The final step of a splash of high alcohol antiseptic scented with a good base of long lasting musk and fleeting lime completed my late evenings shaving adventure.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

  12. After hanging out with the March diehard Boyz Tryin to nail it at 8k, I failed to get my fat Arko out of bed with enough time to to begin my April focus with the Focus adjustable R21.

So plan B - Barbasol - Bomb went in effect. And I focused on grabbing the fast and smooth Focus R48.

A shot of Barbasol, a squirt of M-Bomb, into the bowl and you would not believe how much water can be whipped in. Punchy - cold. Wow, can't do that face lathering.

Fast as fast can be, sloppy as I wannabe, off went the R48 I got a really nice shave. No fear and smooth. Sometimes you just don't wanna be pumping that clutch and running them gears, just because you can.

Finished up with THE Max Headroom MOST Glorious Stank.... Brut Splash-on. And on my way.

Hmm....canned foam, pivoting modern se razor, lather bowl.........
It could send the Mayflower Dry Soap Militia running for their pill bottle.

    Shave free and happy!
  13. I'm hoping that the efficiency and need for proper technique will do my face a favour. I have a tendency to overdo it with my EFBT because it is super duper forgiving!!!
  14. I found exactly the same thing! I live right by the coast, so the salt does play havoc. I too am washing weekly and polishing monthly. I wax quarterly though :happy088:
  15. Shelves are still being restocked at the supermarket!
