Eloquently said. My sentiments as well. Been a whirlwind week. April 1...82yo father diagnosed with bronchitis. Meds... Same morning, 79yo Mom goes from nursing home to ER to ICU. Wednesday...dad diagnosed with pneumonia. More meds. Thursday, Mom moved from ICU to Hospice. 1-24 hours. We're at 60+. I'm spending 22 hours a day in her room. Working, reading here. My incredible wife plugging along with work and getting things needed done. 2 high school daughters keeping their incredible results on school work. Shaving. Reading TSD. When I can.
Congrats on the new razor, Keith! Thanks for sharing the Cherry Blossom Festival pics! Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
I am going to order my aftershave from Connaughts... He does free shipping over £45... The only logical thing to do in order to save £3.25 is to add a Muhle R41 head and an iKon Bulldog handle to my order... That will just take me over and make the shipping free!
I'm sorry to hear about your current situation. You, your wife and your daughters sound like you are doing a great job and your best for your parents! I'm rooting for your folks!
Fatip Focus - Shave #4 Razor - Fatip Grande Blade - Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow (2) Brush - Bluebeard Doubloon Soap - TOBS Peppermint Post - None yet Shave 4 with the Fatip Grande is now under my belt. It was the best shave to date. The lather was consistent with TOBS usual, the blade continued to be sharp and smooth, and the razor is just wow! I followed @clint64 's advice and opened my mouth whilst shaving ATG on my jawline and was duly rewarded with a much better shave in this area - not quite BBS on the left hand side, but not far off either! I think that I'll have that part of my face sussed out by the end of this month! I did add an extra half a pass to my usual routine today... ATG on my neck. I don't usually do this, but I've been having excellent results and we're going to a christening in a few hours. The results weren't terrible but they weren't outstanding either - my neck is slightly smoother than usual, but at the cost of a few little areas of rash... No soreness as such, just a bit red/spotty. All in all a DFS+ with a new razor and new blades = happy camper. Enjoy your shaves gents!
Oh, and does anyone else use 'used' lather from the comb to cover an area that needs touching up? It felt a bit 'dirty', but it did feel good (and it worked)!
They make a lotion, a splash, and a balm. I'm referring to the balm or cream. I think there are scented products other than the menthol. There is also a cream that comes in a small jar commonly used as a pre-shave. I have it too, but have not used it after shaving.
