I have found lately that using a steeper angle with my razors (albeit the R41 and the Fatip Grande) has resulted in less irritation and a closer shave. I have been using Gillette 7 o'clock Yellows in both razors. They are sharp and smooth. Try shaving with the handle almost parallel to your face and see how you get on! Do you shave XTG on your face? And before anyone says that you should ride the cap with all razors. Just check this out for Techs... Riding the cap negates the safety bar. King Gillette obviously intended for the safety bar to come into contact with the skin to 'smooth' it out. Worth a shot! Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
What do you want/need a beard for?! Just kidding. Do what works buddy! Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
April 12th Razor: Star Bakelite Blade: ? Brush: Envy White Eight Ball Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: WK King of Bourbon Lucky Tiger face tonic PAA Star Jelly unscented AS: WK King of Bourbon Good morning! Great shave to start the day! Three passes with quick touch up. Near BBS with silent alum. First shave with the Star Bakelite this morning. Easy shave. Mild feel yet efficient enough to get the job done. For the life of me I don't remember what blade I loaded. I made a comment about Wholly Kaw scents yesterday that was a little too harsh. The only clunker of the ones I have is Merchant of Leather. Merchant of Tobacco smells mostly of cocoa to me. Nice scent but not what I was expecting. King of Bourbon is very nice and King of Oud is excellent IMO. Have a great Friday! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
