Thank you, Chris! I realized that when you relax and enjoy your shave, by getting into the ritual, smelling the wonderful scents, etc, the results are much better.
Congrats, Robert! You must have a quick growing, heavy beard to shave with a straight every day. In my case, I could still be socially acceptable at 36 hours. Also, my beard is gray and white so maybe that helps me in that regard. Anyway, kudos to you! I have enjoyed your posts. Now, continue on to your second 100 shaves!
Yes, I did indeed, Clint! The Daniel Rodriquez concert was awesome. It also helps that I was celebrating one of my lady friend's birthday! Last night, I at a jazz concert and the band was awesome. Today, I just relaxed, worked out, etc. I hope your weekend was great as well!
It is great for me to clear my mind before I start my day. Since I can't meditate straight razor shaving calms my nerves.
Monday Shave: Since I shave later than usual on Sundays, Monday's shave is usually with a saftey razor, with less than 24 hours between shaves I usually do not get the best results from a straight. Today I opted to with one of my Wosty big blades because it was refreshed on the stones yesterday. I can get a nice edge on this blade but not at the same level as my other blades, I will need to keep experimenting. Thank you for asking Joe. I did have a relaxing weekend here at home. My wife and I spend the day running errands and had a very nice dinner out.
I like a little scritch when using a horse. My Vie Long 12601 is 35/65. I've been looking for a 25/75 and have a couple of options. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
