Moving on through the adjustables in my den brings us to the Slim. This was my first adjustable and is a fine razor. I'm not sure why Slims didn't find as much favor as Fatboys other than size. They shave nearly exactly the same once you learn to adjust to the slightly different head geometry. I've heard they're easier to use under your nose as well, but have no personal experience with that due to my goatee. I chose the Ladas blade to pair with the razor. This is my favorite of the Russian Super Stainless, just a hair ahead of the Rapira pink and the St. Pete's Nacet. Arko, of course, and the JR46 - my first Jayaruh brush.

I shaved after Game of Thrones just to make sure I had some solid steel in my hand should the White Walkers show up at my door. My den remained safe and secure, so I just went with a three pass BBS finish with absolutely no effort or problems. Clearly my night was smoother than the night in Westeros.

Great thing about gumbo - I can visit a grocery store anywhere and get stuff to make one. Everyone has their particular favorite ingredients that develop into a signature style. My dad like to add these bags of frozen mixed seafood that has shrimp, calamari, oyster & mussels, and octopus, but he doesn't use the imitation crab meat because it unrolls all funny. I recently introduced to mom something I started doing years ago. To keep the kids from picking out the veggies I run them through the Osterizer. Adding the vegetables all liquefied makes the flavors pop giving it the even better next day leftover gumbo taste. I tried a neighbor's one time that had a flavor I'd never tasted before. Asked him the ingredients - chicken gizzards!

Gave up on GoT maybe in the second season? Might binge it some day. This is the last season?

Thanks to who ever it was for the intro to Keeping Up Appearances! I'm into the second season now. Was disappointed to see Rose played by a different actress. I kind of liked the first season one. For anyone who's a fan of the show Onslow's hat isn't currently available, but you can buy a Fulton Hogan patch and make your own HERE.

 

Yes, final season of GoT. Now maybe we'll finally get the next book from George R.R.
