I have a fluted handle that Jim @Jayaruh did. As I understand it, he turned the handle, then did the flutes by hand with a rasp.

Thanks, gentlemen! I decided to do a Rule of a full 30 shaves, which turned out to be a lot longer than one month right now. I have four shaves left and then move on to another soap I think.

I have seen a review on the Ming Xi 3000S and it seems to work fine.

    April 16th....

    Duke Cannon LE Victory BS
    L'Oreal Men's Charcoal Face Scrub
    Proraso PreShave
    Stirling Baker Street SC
    Semogue OC Cherrywood Boar
    Blackland Dart
    Shark SS Blade
    Stirling Baker Street AS

Did the Arko Adjustable for almost 2 weeks straight. Getting a little monotonous and thoughtless for achieving a 2 pass DFS. I realize that's the goal....repetition to achieve muscle memory (leading to acquired technique), but...had to switch it up.

So...still a 2 pass DFS with the Dart. First time using a Shark blade, but the blade exposure is so much more with the Dart vs a Slim (or any Gillette I have) requires constant attention to pressure and attack placement. Two minor weepers, nothing the Stirling AS didn't handle. Stirling SC, to me requires more water than others...only do half my face at a time and relather. Love the Baker Street aroma. Clean, crisp and somewhat citrus.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you guys. I am just mentally tired today. I made it to the office for a day of trying to catch up on none tax issues.

I am going to digress a tad, something I am won't to do on occasion.
Last night I decided to make a significant reduction in my shave den.
    24 tubs of soap.
    12 aftershaves/colognes/balms.
    1 pre-shave oil.
Sold it all for $100.00 + Shipping.
I lost my shirt, but it was SO LIBERATING!!!!
    :happy093::happy093::happy093::happy093::happy093::happy093::happy093:
Today's shave was first-rate. I really enjoy the ASW Old Virginia.
I wish that SWMBO would give it her SWMBOSOA, but alas and alack...no go. :(
Too sweet for my Italian girl.
Oh well, I used it anyway...

M-Bombed it and with the Semogue mixed knot really got a terrific layer of suds*
*There is a faction that abhors this word. :p
I also applied a new layer of CrOx to my linen strop and gave the Red-Injun "what-for"
    Followed by the Slavin strop.
Good results. Don't know about the HHT...(truth be told, don't care) Sorry HHT fans.
I know, I am a honing novice and I voraciously follow our SR experts. I have learned a ton from
them and am truly appreciative of their knowledge and helpful advice. :thanks:
Short-deliberate strokes were (was?) the order of the day.
DFS+ and I am happy about it.
Alum/Thayer's/ASW AS completed a very rewarding shave.
Now, it's off to the post office.

Lovely photo and shave with a fantastic recap. Great job on selling the soaps and such Joseph. At least the unwanted items are gone. Good luck at the post office.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

She has nothing against it. In fact, when she got her Lady Gillette she used Arko for the first couple of months until she found Witchy Woman from Stirling. The tone would be one of slight surprise that there has been a lack of variety this month. For some strange reason she doesn't track themes here like we do.

My word, Jim, you can even colour match soaps and brushed to Orange... wonderful stuff.
It sounds like your long Rule has worked again technique-wise, John. I would imagine you are ready to move on.
Happy Birthday, Perry! Any big plans?
Very nice, Clint. That Supply seems to have moved to the front of the shelf for sure.
Very nice, Blair. Going to the Baker Street after two weeks of Arko is definitely moving up about 4 weight classes.
Sounds like someone got a smoking deal. I hear you on the den reduction, Joseph.
    What is HHT?
