Maybe? Some of the fellas have suggested decanting the modern into a glass bottle. Should I come across a suitable glass bottle I'll decant the modern into it and see what happens. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
You guys can leave me out of it. But I suppose it would kill crab grass and weeds so I could find some use for the stuff.
Thank, Clint! I'm anxious to get home and give it a sniff for myself. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Has anyone in the 30DC shaved with a Blackland Blackbird or Dart and a Karve Christopher Bradley? I'm looking to compare the two in terms of smoothness and efficiency. I ask because I'm hunting for a quality razor... Don't really need to pay £200+ and be on an imaginary waiting list, so Wolfman, Charcoal Goods and Timeless are no no's Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
Thanks, Joseph. I just looked, and he has some for sale here and here, but synthetic knots. Not the same IMO. And a horsehair. And a some sold-out listings for silvertip here, here, and here. I don't know what plans he has or doesn't have to get any more made.
Now the real test will be to decant some of the new one into glass and wait a few weeks to see if the scent changes. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
I'm pretty sure Timeless is usually in stock. I have a brass Blackbird OC and a Dart. To me the Dart shaves almost identically to the Muhle R41. The Blackbird is a smidge less aggressive and a bit smoother. I also have an ATT H2 that is in the same ballpark as the Blackbird if you want a more traditional looking razor. I'm sure others will chime in on the Karve and possibly Timeless. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Thanks Andrew. The Timeless becomes expensive when configuring it the way I want it + postage to the UK... Takes it above the price I want to pay for a razor. I believe you guys get free shipping and free 30 day returns etc. A traditional appearance doesn't matter to me, just a quality razor with quality fit and finish. I am looking for something that is smooth, so perhaps the Blackbird wins over the Dart in that arena... I know that often smoothness comes at the cost of some efficiency.
Over 1000 posts since I got to sit down and look. Not going to get through those anytime soon. Will get some images soon as I can. Have had some great shaves in the past few days. Used 7O'clock yellow pkg blades. Not as sharp, don't have good staying power, change to a new one for the gord mowing. Received a 1970's I think Gillette black handle adjustable on Wednesday, used it this morning with the Feathers. It's comparable to my Gillette slim. Have been using a Soluna OC razor. The Czechoslovakian razor is nice, works nice, very nice. Till next time Enjoy tp
Good afternoon gents. Took a break from posting for a while. Been rotating through the soaps I have but have stuck with the Astra green ,Edwin jagger de89 and omega boar. I'm thinking about ordering a badger from Stirling. My 2 favorite soaps have been the cella and arko stick. Love the scent of both. Tomorrow I'm trying the derby stick for the first time. And arko in a bowl delivered today. I had a puck of Williams delivered yesterday I'll try this week and might order the derby in a cup also. I haven't even touched the proaso red lately. 2 Stirlings in the rotation. So far my top 4 scents are the arko, derby, cella and Williams. If the derby and Williams perform well, I think that will be my rotation. Fighting an urge to order arko and derby cases of 12. Lol. Love buying in bulk. I'll post a shave tomorrow. Happy Easter weekend gentlemen
