  5. When I was 14 my friends were shaving . My father said give it a few more years and you will be too. Now I could shave every day. Glad to see you hung onto that razor all these years .

    Good evening guys!
I was going to hold off shaving tomorrow, but decided to do it tonight.
Ok, I took out my Dovo shavette once again. It has been a few months, but I decided to shave my head and my face with this magnificent tool. Bowl lathered my sample of Sandpiper and applied it to my chrome dome. Did 2 passes and it was a decent shave w/o blood, but it was not BBS. The Voskhad blade was not sharp enough to do a third pass so I finished with my trusty Rocky to get it BBS.
As far as the face, 2 passes and touch ups gave a nice BBS shave without any blood or irritation. Finished the shave using Clubman AS. This shave showed me that I can still shave my head with a shavette without using mirrors even though it has been awhile. Tonight was a fun shave and a satisfying one as well.
    Result: Grade (Face) 98 = A+
    Grade (Head) 93 = A-
    Guys have a great night!

    April 18

Razor - Qshave (Futur clone) (6)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Jayaruh #230
    Post - Alum

Moving right along with the Qshave and Sharp Star. Shave number two and I just switched the JR 312 out for the JR 230. Another two pass shave with some touch up that yielded a very high level DFS with little effort. No issues, problems, or anything else to report. So smooth and effortless it's nearly boring! Nothing wrong with that.

Still considering what to put in that handmade soap bowl. Got one vote in today. I'm taking any and all suggestions! Hope you have a fantastic Friday and a great start to the weekend!

  12. Some of my new razors came in today, and a 100 pack of gem blades. I had bought a small lot of 2 gems and a gold super speed. One of the gems, a 1912, has a broken blade stop that I did nor see. I may be able to fix it with a bit of silver solder and a jewlers file. The other gem, a mmoc. Came dirty but working. It is the newer type with the bumps. Well I was super excited to try my firsh SE shave, so I loaded up a gem ptfe and a bowl full of sterling deep blue sea soap and went to town! I have read a lot about how aggressive this razor is, so I was a little nervous. I rode the cap and it was a super shave, 2 passes to a dfs. I had 2 weepers that closed up on their own. The alum was a little warm, but no irritation. Finished off with a little Stirling dbs psb and bleu de chanel edp. I went with the psb instead of the alcohol splash. I had a feeling it would have been a . I am really liking the bleu and the dbs, they are soooooo close. The dry down is the same.

Spent the evening working outside. Nice weather here on the prairie today. Nice shave afterward. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

Have a great evening and a pleasant Thursday!
