  6. Good shave this morning. The Razorock 3x milled Lime Burst is packed right to the top, similar to the WSP Mahogony(well, all WSP's are packed that way). I'm sure this will still be around next summer, even though some "cracks" have begun to show. The Clubman Reserve goes on a bit "sticky" at first, but soon softens to a nice feel. The two(Lime Burst&Gent's Gin)are in good concert with one another.
  7. A very long night last night. We had some serious thunderstorms roll through all night long. That alone had the dog on alert. Everything reached a climax around 5am when the phone alarms started sounding for a weather alert. Turned on the local news to hear the forecaster calling a cross street very near us and indicating rotation and possible tornado in the air. Made it to the basement just as the power went off. Luckily the worst passed over with no harm done. Waited until daybreak to take a shower and leave for a client appointment. Trees were down all over our area. No shave this morning. I haven’t shaved in the dark since the Army. I’ll likely shower and shave this evening.

I hope everyone has a great Friday.

  9. Glad you guys are okay and your house is okay. Those storms came through here before going east to Atlanta but they weren't that bad. Hard rain and a little wind. Anyway, glad all is okay.
  10. Rough night indeed. Glad to hear you and yours made it through unscathed. Hopefully nothing more than a few trees down.

  11. In high school, I took a course called Survival. We learned about how people do what you had to do.
  12. Thank you guys. Mocha was certainly a pain but I guessed she sensed it was a bad storm. I was already mostly awake so I heard the phone vibrate. In the end we would have been fine upstairs but going to the basement was the correct choice. Given all the rain this year, I’m surprised more trees didn’t fall. We have two huge oaks that could easily take out our house. I hope the rest of my day is easy. I’ve already had enough excitement.

  13. Congrats! That's an accomplishment for sure. Trying to do the same...ya got me beat by 20 lbs. I figured out way too late that it is MUCH easier to never get overweight in the first place. That's a lesson I'm trying to teach the kids!

I'll try that sometime. I want to try (maybe tomorrow) the Barbasol with the Blackland Dart. The Dart's blade exposure demands attention to pressure, which is quite the opposite (for me) with every Gillette DE I have so far (FB, Slim, Gold Tech).

Glad it turned out with no issues! Apologies for sending it your way....IIRC that round of storms bloomed into a big mess near Terrell, TX just east of us. Differing computer models since mid Wednesday had the our area from not much at all, to 'go get in the tornado cellar'. Yesterday morning...that's what East Texas and more had. Our house, just some good grass soggin' rain and wind.
  14. Hope this passes for y'all! Prayers sent.
  15. Thank you, Blair!
