Some people may think me a prude, but I don't need sex to sell me something and in fact it can turn me away from products that I normally would buy if it wasn't for that type of marketing. I don't need things in my home that I wouldn't want my wife, children or grand children seeing. But that's just me .... stepping off my soap box now.
Loved the “soap box” reference! I agree but from a marketing aspect I can appreciate it. Me 20 years ago would have been more drawn to the packaging initially than the 40 year old me with wife and young son now. However, if it ain’t got anything behind that gimmick, I wouldn’t be inclined to try it or continue to be a return buyer. My faves have some of the simplest yet artistic looking packaging IMO. Take Grooming Dept, Murphy & McNeil, Bufflehead, and Mike’s Naturals for example to name some. Simple packaging and marketing is almost completely social media given street credit by word of mouth from happy users. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Be careful man Well, maggards has two band 20mm. It's no flat top, but you won't have to widen the hole.
(enabling on) .i agree sir,but a special brush does deserve the best..(enabling off)think of @Tim Spencer
VC1 arrived, missing a tooth but for the price I ain't complaining. Ready to go with a modified gem carbon steel blade.
Replacement Gillette Roller Guard for Old Type razors. These were first made circa 1928 - 29 as far as I know. Here is my old type converted over to a rold type.
I want to shave with it first before I decide to upgrade. I don't know if I am into these Autostrops where I want to shave with them on a regular basis yet.
They also made their own razors besides these guards. There are a few variations besides the one pictured on the tissue paper that is used to wrap these things in the packaging.
My first go at Soap Commander, will give it my first try on Easter morning. Still not sure if I ordered enough blades.
