This is the second of three lost clumps in less than a month. Of course this is my favorite brush . I guess I have a re-knot project in the near future
May I point you in the direction of Maggard Razor's Timberwolf Grey... I put a 22mm Timberwolf Grey knot in a Satin Tip Handle. Knot Height from base of plug to tips: 63mm Opening / Loft / Handle / Total Initially I set it 23.5 / 49 / 51 / 100 Set at a 14mm depth with Silicone and a wine cork spacer. I changed it to 23.5 / 52.5 / 50.5 / 103 to create a little more loft. or The APShaveCo SynBad which is very similar and reminds me of my cashmere knot.
Use silicone to set the knot. It is forgiving and allows for an easy change. The opening will suggest a knot 1.5mm-2mm smaller. For example, a 20mm opening will suggest a 18mm-18.5mm knot. The glue bulge is wider than the knot base, so just because it fits initially, does not mean it will fit deep enough for your liking. Also, most knot sellers will tell you what they recommend for the knot you are buying.
Silicone is a good choice for setting a knot. Just let it sit for at least 24 hours. I like the synthetics from Maggard Razors. Their other knots are great too. https://www.maggardrazors.com/product-category/shaving-brush-knots/
@Jostalli I've use this one and it's beautiful. https://www.ebay.com/itm/dscosmetic...var=691353822263&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Looks to me like your brush is just going through a Punk phase. It happens. And it will eventually move on to some other fad. You know how kids are.
