Razor 6/6 - Gillette Senator 1938 - 1940
Shave 1/2 - Bic blade
The last razor in the progression and what a different shave from the previous time I used this. That razor like the 37 - 38 Sheraton was not the same razor and had issues with the doors opening a closing on it. This one doesn't have any mechanical issues at all. It has a decent amount of blade feel like the 38 - 40 Sheraton variant but that is where the similarities end. This razor is milder than all the others. The shave is about even with the 36 - 40 Aristocrats which both variants are the same shave wise. So the surprise here is the both Sheraton variants are distinctly different shavers from each other and the Senator. They didn't standardize the razor heads on these models in 1938 like I originally surmised.
Finally tally for the Bic blade
Most aggressive: 38 - 40 Sheraton aka razor 5
Most mild: 38 - 40 Senator aka razor 6
Most smooth: 34 - 35 Aristocrat aka razor 1
Most efficient: 37 - 38 Sheraton aka razor 4
