So I let the beard grow out a bit just to relax the face and as I didn’t have anything pressing work wise I let it slide. Today I needed an OC and reached for the New LC and a Gillette Platinum to get the shave on. The razor is beautiful to say the least but truly shaves so incredibly well that you can do it on auto pilot just enjoying the soap, scents and sounds.

The soap of the day was Stirling Weekend in Malibu and what a wonderful scent especially since it’s been raining here for days! Just reminds me of summer and fruity drinks!

Lathered up with the wall of badger that is the Chubby 2 and off we went. A wonderful, slow and quite enjoyable three pass shave on the way to BBS. Topped off with the matching AS and some English Laundry Windsor in the form of the EDT and matching deodorant stick. Excellent match by the way for the WIM on the dry down.

Lovely long weekend so far, and hopefully everyone is enjoying their time with friends and family. Hug them lots and keep them close. Happy shaves all.

Razor 6/6 - Gillette Senator 1938 - 1940
Shave 2/2 - Ladas blade

This one is anomaly use a milder blade the shave is much better than with a Bic lot of blade feel and lot of audible feedback but the shave was mild. The only razor that shaved better with a Ladas blade was the 37 - 38 Sheraton.

Final tally on the Ladas blade.

This blade like with other razors is consistent in it's feel on the face regardless of performance so there really isn't much of a spread on mild to wild.

Overall the closeness tally is as follows for the Ladas
37 - 38 Sheraton aka razor 4
38 - 40 Senator aka razor 6
38 - 40 Sheraton aka razor 5
36 - 40 Aristocrats aka razors 2 and 3
34 - 35 Aristocrat aka razor 1

Conclusions.
The 36 - 40 aka razors 2 and 3 are the same shaver and only difference is in the aesthetics. The 2 Sheratons are different shavers and the Senator is different from both Sheratons. In total there are 5 unique shaves to be had from this group razors. If you shave with a 38 - 40 Sheraton use a medium or less sharp blade.

Overall the best razor of the bunch here is the riveted 37 - 38 Sheraton regardless of blade. Even though the 38 - 40 Sheraton did shave closer than the Senator or 36 - 40 Aristocrats, that shave with the Bic blade pushed it into 4th place overall.

Best performers
37 - 38 Sheraton
38 - 40 Senator, I have to caveat this that I chose this over the next razor because I didn't need to styptic pencil with either blade unlike the next on the ranking.
36 - 40 Aristocrats
38 - 40 Sheraton
34 - 35 Aristocrat
