Finally have a chance to post today. We’ve got the house back to ourselves after a busy but fun Easter dinner with my mom, my wife’s folks and her grandmother joining us.
Usually, I’d only shave once a weekend, but with events both days I had 3 pass shaves both days. This was going to be my ‘Menthol Monday’ shave this week, but I’m not working tomorrow, don’t think I’ll shave tomorrow, so I bumped the combo up to this morning.
Very pleasant all the way around. I’d neglected this brush for a bit for whatever reason, but it did a great job with the soft Sudsy Soapery. This is my softest ‘soap’ and in fact is probably no firmer than some tubbed creams I’ve had. Got a good lather and was very smooth after 3 passes. This Blackhawk is dialed in. I also got a compliment on the Fine splash- from my wife’s 83 year old grandmother...I’ll take a compliment where I can get it, I suppose.:)
    Have a great night, all!

  9. No photo for me today, either. Well, after two straight days of grey, cold, and rainy, spring cane back around. So I broke out the WSP Formula T Neroli, and Castle Forbes Neroli EDP. Outstanding lather, outstanding shave, and a scent that screams "SPRING!" Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter too.

Razor - Schick Injector (M) (Wide open)

    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

I'm back, but I didn't wander far. As per my new schedule, Saturday was a no-shave day. That's going to be pretty much set in stone from this point on unless I take a rare Saturday off. I start late on Saturday and finish , well, very early Sunday morning, so the shave goes bye-bye.

I picked it back up tonight with the Type M Schick Injector opened up to full exposure with a Schick blade. Jayaruh brush with the Arko for an easy and excellent lather. Three passes with only one small mishap that I can't explain. I felt the razor jump like it hit something on my left cheekbone and it left a small nick. Nothing a touch of Styptic didn't take care of, but the only blemish on an otherwise perfect and high level DFS (if not BBS) shave. This razor is always fun to grab since it is the same model I first started with many moons ago. MANY moons ago.

Hope you all had a great Easter Sunday and hope your Monday starts the week out with excellence!!
