Arko Adjustable April April 21 Razor - Schick Injector (M) (Wide open) Blade - Soap - Arko Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum I'm back, but I didn't wander far. As per my new schedule, Saturday was a no-shave day. That's going to be pretty much set in stone from this point on unless I take a rare Saturday off. I start late on Saturday and finish , well, very early Sunday morning, so the shave goes bye-bye. I picked it back up tonight with the Type M Schick Injector opened up to full exposure with a Schick blade. Jayaruh brush with the Arko for an easy and excellent lather. Three passes with only one small mishap that I can't explain. I felt the razor jump like it hit something on my left cheekbone and it left a small nick. Nothing a touch of Styptic didn't take care of, but the only blemish on an otherwise perfect and high level DFS (if not BBS) shave. This razor is always fun to grab since it is the same model I first started with many moons ago. MANY moons ago. thank you sir..i wanted an old school theme but i should have used a 40s razor, still dialing in these decade era type shaves.the brush is too new,need more vintage aftershave bottles as well
Still, hands down the best looking brush handle I've ever seen man. And you keep it in mint shape. It still looks newly polished.
Fresh from an edge touch-up the Sunday Shaver. Stirling pre-shave soap. Using a sample. I can't say if it has any effect on my shaves, but I'm pretty sure I'd buy some if my practice wasn't showering before I shave. Siirling Glacial Black Cherry. Great menthol blast, but too close to a cough drop smell for a repurchase. Stirling Tuxedo is my most used brush. The right amount of sensation with alum. Stirling Deep Blue Sea has earned it's way to the Max Headroom list of Most Glorious Stanks. Great shave.
SOTD: Beautiful menthol Monday shave today, used the arko shave stick again and as usual it performed flawlessly. BBS shave after 2 passes with a few touch ups, feather performed flawlessly, but its definitely losing sharpness. Much of it was filmed within a few miles of where I used to live so this set up will be the basis of my Menthol Monday shaves for the duration of the series. Winter has come and Glacial is certainly an apt description! 2 passes and a touch up for a superb Freezing Face Feeling Finish
