hello fello shavers, simple monday shave tonight..got a gsb loaded in my beater unplated new sc ,semogue 830 loaded with figaro soap..got a captains bowlful of fantastic lather,and got a glorious 3 pass dfs out of the deal..desert island shave set for sure,,love the gillette oc razors..figaro aftershave to finish..have a great tuesday everyone..

Well that day sure went by fast. Guess days off typically do that. I did get some things done I needed, though, which is a good thing. The main thing, however, was getting to the shave tonight. I enjoy the Schick "M" and I enjoyed another great lather with the Arko and my smaller Stirling synthetic brush. I stuck with two passes and a little touch up tonight for a nice DFS finish. No blood, no irritation, no worries. Just an all around great shave to get me back to the start of my week. Hope your Monday was a great one and here's to an even better tomorrow!

thank you Patrick ,they do tell a story.i don't use the handle much as i like the fat handle more , but someone loved it and looked after it for many years..

 

Edison, nice shave, but I am not surprised because of your choice of razor. I like cherry cough drop flavor. Also, I have the sample size DBS hand soap and it is a marvelous scent.

 

Great shave, Terry! I used the Stirling Bay Rum for today's shave, also. It is such a great scent!

 

Hmmm. 200 posts behind. Aint catching up tonight.
It's Menthol Monday, so I went with Meissner Tremonia Mint Ice Menthol. I think I could have loaded a little more, so the lather was not quite what it could have been. Not terrible, just not the best I've gotten out of it. Like most things with "ice" in the name, the menthol isn't that strong. But it's there and that's what counts.
I did my now usual 4 passes with the straight and two swipes with the injector. Good, not great shave.

 

Great shave, Jim! Your razor was made on my birth year. If I was a Gillette razor, then I would be stamped A2. I guess 1955 was a good year for things being made. Lol!

 

You win some, you lose some. Even when I dont get the shave I want, looking back it's still better than my best shave with the 5 bladed thingys.

It happens, Lol!

 

The dial was missing when I acquired it. You'll notice a small red mark. That helps mark how far you are on the dial. Not completely accurate, but better than nothing.

 

I guessed you missed my earlier response to this shave because I screwed up. Lol! No worries! For the record, I am glad you and Ralphie are getting along!
