Skipped yesterday as I didn't need a shave. This morning I did one pass and felt the jaw to see if I should do a second. It wasn't needed and just did a smidge of touchup.
  4. Thank you Joe.

  8. I'm getting a little concerned that Central Texas Soaps could be on its way out. I haven't yet received an e-mail from them with that info-thus I hope it's just me. Here's my issue...for as long as I've been aware of their existence and their products, I've seen a total of 3(that's right 3)reviews from their customers. 2 of them were from the same customer, who bought both the soap and aftershave of Grandpa's Barbershop, and the other was from me, on the GB shave soap. There are NO reviews on Greg's other products. I did know that Weekend Rodeo soap sold out at one point, but it's back up now(Greg "hinted" that more was coming, in an e-mail to me, which made him sound like Chris Bailey's Fine commercials on Youtube where he essentially says the same thing for all of the Fine products he has: 'GET IT"). Is it your experience as shave company customers that people will buy products but only a portion of those people will do reviews for them on the websites? (By the way, I think I will get the Weekend Rodeo soap AND A.S. this summer-and do reviews on them-not just because the WR attracts my attention, but to let people see more customer reviews). Anyway, that's my question. Be interested in your comments. Thanks.

I should have changed the blade, but I like to get as many shaves as a I can get. I had to do 3 passes with more touchups than normal. I got an IBSS+ without nicks, weepers or irritation. Binned the blade and put a new Personna for the next time. I have to say blooming the Stirling soap gives a better lather, than wetting the brush , swirling the dry soap and start face lathering and adding water to an initial pasty lather. It was a nice shave considering the blade was on its last legs. The Sandalwood AS smells nice and does burn like the Bay Rum. I really don't mind it. Lol!

  17. Excellent shave Joe! You know I really don't like sandalwood as a shave soap scent but I've been using a sample of Stirling sandalwood bath soap and am reading digging it in that format. It's very nostalgic to me because my Grandpa always had a bar of sandalwood soap in his bathroom.

  19. The Sandalwood soap is ok, but the aftershave has more omph to it. I have to believe they put more essential oils in the AS and the bar soap to have the scent stand out.
  20. Out of there Joe!
