For the Survey, I'm not quite ready to proclaim Adjustables Sometimes as the winner, but he looks pretty good. However I will proclaim Adjustables Baby as the loser.

    Wednesday Shave:

I think I need to change my scoring for my edges, today's edge was sharper and smoother than yesterdays, so from today forward I will be much harder on my assessment of my edges. The edge was very smoooooth and very sharp. Everything was working wonderfully, unfortunately, a little feedback from the alum, but otherwise an exceptional shave.

I always disassemble my three piece razors, rinse them, dry them with a towel and lay the pieces out to continue to dry after each use. TTOs I rinse, dry and then stand them up to dry after each use on their doors. My razors look as good as the day I got them. So long as you don't compromise the plating on a Zamak razor they will last a lifetime but I have heard that ARKO is corrosive and detrimental to Zamak. :innocent

I own one zamak razor. I don't plan on driving nails with it so it should outlast me. The razor is out on loan right now, I doubt he's driving nails with it.
Cool factor drives my razor purchases. Function is secondary, I figure that part of it is on me. I've unapologetically become a collector and look forward to the next addition whatever that may be.
Speaking of the next addition, I'm ready for Friday! [IMG]

First time out for this tube of Bielita.
It was one of twenty something unopened creams that I haven't gotten around to trying.
Performance-wise it is excellent, typical of eastern European creams (Belarus in this case.) It has a mild touch of menthol, which is a plus. Alas, for me, scent is where it falls down. Not much there, and what there is of it is a pretty forgettable "green" scent. I don't hate it, just don't really like it either. It will be moving on I think.
But for today, at least, it produced a bowl full of slick, wet lather perfect for the straight.

Sweet! I knew you'd get the fancy schmancy bowl, Jim! It even looks better in your photo bathed in Colorado sunlight. I look forward to your Fat Friday exploits.:eatdrink047:

    Hi all
I very rarely do this, but that may be why I should.
When I wake up it will be Wednesday, but just not Wednesday, Williams Wednesday. Looking through the razors I could use. Then it hit me, my GEM Junior.
Some know how it all started, some don't.
I got a GEM Junior head along with some other razors, I didn't know what it was, but it looked cool. It was water stained, soap cruded to the max and was the most interesting thing in the lot. I took it home and started to clean and search the net to see what it was.
Well I did not have the original handle but figured out how to use a handle from another razor. Finding blades for it where I live is difficult at best. I did find everything got it all together and used it, thought it was nice. I posted the adventure, there was a reply to my post about "molesting the poor GEM Junior". The gentelman said that he had a proper handle and would send it to me when he found it. Wow I thought, this was great! The handle worked fantastic! Trying to shorten this story, it was our own lovable Fuzzy @wchnu . The man started me into SE razors, things haven't been the same since.
In honor of a master enabler, I am doing the Willaims with the razor that started me into SE's. My GEM Junior with the Fuzzy supplied "proper" handle.

I had no ideal what he was getting me into.
    Thanks Fuzzy!
    Till morning

    Enjoy

Give it a test lather or two before Friday. There is a learning curve with MWF. For me 10-15 second of loading max. Dry puck, damp brush.
