Much better match for the Roller Guard is the Henkels/Henso cap. More blade feel than with the Old Type and Henso plate, smoother than the Fatip Mk1. This is where the Roller Guard will stay I think. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Showcace Showdown I had three days growth to deal with, so I decided to make a game of it. On my left side I used my Merkur Vision wide open with a Voskhod blade. On the right, I used my Rockwell 6s with a Personna Lab Blue. On both, I used Tabac PSO and Wholly Kaw/Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli soap and spalsh. My Lutin Lightning did the lather honors. Now, you would think the Rockwell would provide a more comfortable shave, while the Vision would get closer but not so comfy. I thought so, too, but we are both wrong. The Vision was smooth as butter taking down stubble without hesitation or irritation. The Rockwell also took down the stubble, but gave me a couple weepers on my neck - it was comfortable, but not much more than the Vision. My left side is shaved closer, as revealed by an ATG swipe with my finger. If I had to choose only one of these razors based on just this shave, I'd choose the Vision. #lutinbrushworks #merkurvision #whollykaw #chatillonlux #tabac#rockwellrazors

Arko Adjustable April April 24 Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9) Blade - (1) Soap - Arko Brush - Jayaruh #312 Post - Alum Six shaves left for me this month and I just happen to have six DE adjustables. So, one per day until we're done. I'll stick with Sharp Star and just move the blade as I go. A nice way to finish out Arko Adjustable April, if I say so myself. I went to the JR312 to get that horse feel and got a fantastic and easy lather. The Toggle is, of course, set wide open and I used all three passes just to enjoy the process. A little shaving Zen was in order tonight. Near-BBS finish and the world looks better than it did before I shaved. I, however, look no better. But, then, it's hard to improve on perfection. (Go ahead, take your digs....I opened the door). Hope your week is going wonderfully! Oh - the el-cheapo pain stick arrived today. Looks to be a near exact clone of the Kai Captain. I'll be giving it a go-over and getting ready to do some comparisons of both the razors - and of the blades that came with it. I can't imagine that they'd be good, but we'll see.
