  4. I am a righty, so I shave my left cheek and neck WTG using my left hand. Going against the grain, I use my left hand to shave my right face and neck and then my left face and neck with my right hand. If you are a lefty, then the opposite applies. It really is easier to use your non-dominant hand because you get a better visual as to where the blade is on your face and neck. It is possible to do your entire face and neck with your dominant hand, but it is awkward when shaving the non-dominant side WTG, etc. When you graduate to straight razors or shavettes just shave the dominant side with your dominant hand to get a feel for the razor and angle of attack. Shave the rest with your safety. Do this for at least 2 shaves before you try to use your non-dominant hand. Before you attempt to shave with non-dominant hand, I suggest that you practice your grip and shave the non-dominant side without a blade. Of course, you don't need lather on that side. Lol! Once you practice a few times, then just shave the cheek with the grain and not the neck. Eventually you will be able to do 1 pass of WTG with both hands. Eventually, you will feel comfortable going across the grain and against the grain on the face and neck. I hope my explanation was sufficient. Good Luck, Stephen!

  7. Thank you Sir! That is exactly the info I was looking for. Learning this may also help with some of the irritation I get on my neck. Less awkward. Good thing my left hand isn't that dumb.

  8. If you like math and mechanics, then you would like physics. Chemistry is hard because you are studying about atoms, that you can't see or touch so it is hard for some students to grasp, especially coupled with applying concepts with the math calculations.

  11. Reply to my own post, did not know how else to do it.
The shave was nice but I will say that Williams is not the same as what I'm used to. But with a little more work, it was acceptable lather.
I did a 3 pass shave with a new blade and was clean and smooth ready for the day. Can't say it is my favorite by far, but with some extra work it does the job. There "was" a small pimple poking its head up on top the gord that is now history. Other than the blemish removal everything went fine with no other issues. The GEM Junior worked like a charm.
In the morning, after I get a new shower faucet and get it replaced. The water just ate the brass stem up to the point it rotted off, so I found, this morning, while cold water was spraying all over me. WOKE ME UP WOW! :shocked003:
I'll get a nice shave, I will get the gear out tonight.
    To all
    Enjoy

  16. It arrived today. I just took it out and looked it over so no opinion yet other than it is really a close clone of the Kai Captain. Down to the "marker band" on the handle. I'm going to do all the comparison and numbers on them in the next couple of days before giving it a run through. I also got 10 of the blades with it. I can't say as I'm hopeful for them, but I've been surprised before.
