    Ditto! Not sure why, but I like the boar brushes best. They just don't seem to get the 'handle love' (see what I did there) that the Synthetics and Badger brushes do.

    And....:thanks: @jluc the ENABLER (with many of you a close second :signs136:).... I've seen this handle on Etsy....just never with the knot I want. Now...on it's way.

    Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Schick J1
    Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

    Hotel shave. Brought along my Fat Friday setup to use until Saturday. Wonderful lather and easy shaving. I'm about to go to an early lunch and then off to activities for the rest of the day. Hard to keep up with the thread! Keep up the great shaves everyone.

    The Nivea stick is actually very good. I don't think it was made with intentions to lather with a brush, but it nonetheless creates a rich, slick, stable lather not unlike Palmolive or Wilkinson Sword or other shave sticks. The slickness is actually top notch. I was very surprised with the quality of it. It quickly went out of production and was a complete failure for Nivea so you'd have to pick one up on clearance somewhere.
