April 24th Cooper MonoBilt w Nacet (2) Simpson CH2 Synthetic B&M Reserve Cool Combo Thayers Way, way behind on the thread again already. I'm struggling to keep up the past few weeks. Early morning shave, afternoon post. Got a great lather from the Cool. Love this scent, but the soap certainly takes some work to get right. When it is right, it is superb. I was rushed a bit this morning to get out of the house early, and did leave a few weepers behind. Completely smooth and not irritated though. Man, I love this razor. Have a great day all!
I haven't read through the thread, so I'm not sure if you've had this answered yet or not, Patrick. My understanding is that E2's have smooth bars, while the E3 and later have parallel grooves on the bar below the blade.
I have never been to Las Vegas and really don't have any interest to go there because the only thing that I would be interested in are the shows. I would go see the singers so that I wouldn't be subject to vulgar acts.
I had to hang around the airport there for an hour or so waiting for a van. The urge to do some gambling was tough, but I passed on it.
April 25 Good afternoon, guys. Just finished another Dovo shavette shave (#57). I decided to use the sample of Moon Soap Havana given to me by Joseph. Face-lathered with my Rocky brush. I have to say that this soap provides a nice, slick lather. The scent is a tobacco/vanilla scent and is really wonderful. Did 2 passes, got a BBS shave with 2 inconsequential weepers that were taken to task with styptic pen and witch hazel. No irritation, but added too much Clubman that gave me quite a sting on the neck! This was a very good shave. Result: Grade A = 94 Have a nice evening guys.
