Small needle nose pliers works well also just need to grab on the spine above the crease and bend until spine crimp lifts off the blade.

 

Bullet Tip Micromatic with a gem stainless ptfe blade. This at least for me with this combo is one mild shave. I could daily shave this combo with no problems. MMOC was still a closer shave though and almost as smooth but a lot more efficient. Might as well go through the trifecta so tomorrow is the Clog Pruf then back to Autostrops.

The Schick F is regarded by many who use one to be rather on the mild side, but I like its smoothness and the efficient way it eliminates my growth. Today with a fresh blade, the Shave was ultra smooth yet within normal Shave time I got a top notch close finish. Of the Schick Injectors that I have , the F is probably the nicest one to hold and Shave with as it so manoeuvrable.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #343 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1909 razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Last of the trifecta and surprisingly the best shave of the micromatics.

This razor at least feel wise is like the Autostrop. Lesson learned here is I am pretty sure the shaves improved due to technique and not necessarily because of the razor(s) being better or worse than each other. These razors really are angle and pressure sensitive also a lot of habits I've acquired from DE shaving do not apply to SE blades like these. Just follow the recommended angle on the instructions and let it do the work instead of forcing it to shave closer. This shave though loud and and lots of blade feel was mild but deadly. Tomorrow is back to Autostrops and lessons learned here will be applied there and my shaves should improve on those razors next.
