Thank you Doug. The arts festival is not quite my style. The international festival has a beer garden that I’m looking forward to trying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know the routine well, Clint. When we go shopping, I also drop my Bride off at the front door and then park the car. Curb service allows me to bank a few extra brownie points.
Good morning, gents! I just finished my shave. TSRS #68 7/8 Henckel's Friodur Omega Pro 49 Stirling Piacenza Soap & AS Modessa Witch Hazel Alright! I decided to break out my Friodur because it is been some time since using it. It is one of my top favorite straight razor and to match it with my favorite soap is just nirvana. Face lathered the Piacenza to a nice rich, thick lather with my Pro 49 boar brush. My usual 2 passes and the minor touch ups produced a wonderful BBS shave. Blood was not shed, but did get some neck irritation on my right side so I brought out the witch hazel to smooth it over. Applied the Piacenza aftershave to finish. Unsurprisingly, it stung on my right neck, but I took it like a champ. Lol! Result: Grade 95 = A Have a great Saturday, guys!
I know there’s a new Shazam superhero movie out, but I still think of Gomer Pyle every time I hear that word.
You can specify the price of each razor, and a "shipping & handling" charge that benefits folks purchasing multiple pieces. As to PIFing either mix or match sets of several? Not knowing what you have let's assume an injector, a TTO, and a 3pc Beginners set? That moves them along at a quick pace. If you PIF you can also specify the Rules to qualify. Maybe a donation to the TSD fund ala raffle style, or save them for the next official TSD raffle and specify your prizes are groups of razors to cut your shipping costs. There's also a Traveling Box that includes soaps, brushes, and razors. It's around half way through the first pass with plans to go around again. Might be a way to trade your excess gear for different gear with only one shipping charge.
Its actually about medium, i actually need to shave daily, but usually only shave every second day. Sent from my Redmi S2 using Tapatalk
April Adjustables! Colgate Cup soap in a cup Omega Pro 98 boar brush Suribachi bowl, cool water Gillette 195 on number nine Gillette Silver Blue blade Shulton Old Spice AS lotion So I cut up my vintage Colgate puck, added water, and let it set over night. It swelled up and absorbed the water and looked ready to go. The outer edge of the puck had turned white, while the inner product was a creamy beige color. Loaded easily being fresh from a twelve hour bloom, it whipped up into a very stable butter cream lather! First pass with the Fay Boy suggested a blade change was needed. Fresh GSB installed, the lather did not dissipate. Very little scent aside from a vaguely generic soapiness. Good glide with the new blade running at wide open, and plenty of residual. Makes me wonder why these companies quit making their products. Three passes, a little edging, no errors, and a DFS was had. Splashed on a liberal amount of the old juice to make up for the near scentless lather. Nice smooth face feel like I imagine folks got back in the day. Good Shaves Y'all!
