Autostrop VC1 with a stropped Feather FAS-10 blade. This razor officially went from a VC1 to a VC-done model since the tabs snapped on it during the shave. I managed to get almost a full shave out of this before the second tab gave way. Shave was as good if a little better than that CVS carbon steel blade on shave 2 stropped. Nice easy blade to shave with even if not overly sharp. *edit* upon further introspection I'd say the shave was better and more closer to the one I got with the Gem Micromatic Bullet tip. Tomorrow I will be carrying on with a different Autostrop.

Now that is some gift. I would perhaps consider giving up one of my Streamline sets for that set. I like the Gem Junior 1912 as a Razor too
Tue 30th April Jayaruh Syn. No67 Tabac Soap Ever Ready Streamline set Gem S/S [ 4 ] Tabac A/S Lotion For some unknown reason I just went for a quick Shave today, and because of that the finish was not what I would normally get with a Streamline. I won't be in such a hurry next time, the extra time spent on a Shave has its rewards.
Tabac Tuesday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Tabac Jayaruh #360 Synthetic TNNSER Gem Blue Star CS CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #360 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Coming in off the bench for the injured VC1 and done which sustained a career ending injury is the Autostrop B1, second shave with the a stropped Feather FAS-10 blade. I got an acceptable shave but this blade is pretty much done after 2 shaves. That seems to be the common theme here stropping these carbon steel is 2 and out, they are done. Next up same rotation between a modified CVS carbon steel and Feather FAS-10 non stropped to see if they last longer or not. Also a note on the soap I used today since I had some stinky stuff sitting around that I normally do not use. When you put menthol in a soap there is a difference between putting enough in for the cooling sensation and overdoing it like this soap to the point you get freezer burn on the face. The soap in question is Obsidian made by Sterling Soap Co.

Anyone ever see one of these? A Kenyon SE razor. I started a post in Safety Razors...someone suggested I post this in Injector SE Party thread.
5/1/19 Omega 10049 Boar Shaving Brush Timeless Lathering Bowl Williams Mug Soap CVS SE Blade Kampfe Star Lather Catcher Nivea Post Balm Pinuad Clubman Classic First shave with a lather cacher. I was a little apprehensive about the lather catcher. It went from a bent-up mess to a decent looking razor with a homemade handle and a fabricated nylon blade shim. The Williams was just thin this morning and I could not get it where I wanted it. I am sure it was the boar brush because I have the synthetic dialed in on the Williams. The lather catcher really surprised me. It was not bad but it has a learning curve to it and I need more practice with. I would not want to use it as an every day razor but it is one to keep in the rotation. I finished up and put the brush and bowl in the sink to start rinsing and applied some alum which was slightly warm. Rinsed the razor and then applied some Nivea and notice a few areas on my neck that needed some attention. With the razor disassembled and no Williams I grabbed the Cremo and the Rockwell 6C at plate 6 and finished up a few spots. Splashed some Clubman Classic on and was ready to take on the day. Y’all take care and have a great hump day!
