Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7-O’Clock Blue SP still in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Highlands aftershave. Bob

My midweek SOTD: L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Wilkinson Long Handle/Minora day 7 Gilly’s Lush Life SS Prep ASB Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash Despite the Minora blade being almost at the end it still worked surprisingly well, but it was tugging quite a bit during my second pass. The Lush Life is a hell of a nice soap from Gilly’s - the scent is refreshing with a mixture of lime, bergamot, and some other notes which I cannot really describe accurately. The lather was so rich as well as slick, and its menthol effect felt great. The Prep makes one of the best balms I ever had and my aftershave of choice today was Aqua Velva. My BBS mission was accomplished!

Wednesday 1st May Cold Water Shave Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap Palmolive Shave Stick Semogue 830 Boar Brush Kai Captain Excelia (Japanese Style) with a Feather Super Pro Alum and Rinse Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Gel Alcolado Glacial Oudh al Qamar EDP I haven't used Palmolive Soap for ages and as I had an impulse buy of 8 in Wilko yesterday.....I thought it was time for a revisit! Slick and protective with a scent which doesn't interfere with Fragrance choice. 2 Passes and a touch up for a perfect finish

Stoylin brushes most certainly are in concert with Stoylin soaps. (I can just picture Doc Ezlovan's "Well.....YEAH, y'know??". . This is one of the soaps I'd like to try in summertime-thus make it a year-rounder.
SOTD: A beautiful shave this morning, a fast one too, going to the military fair at the Voortrekker monument so i was in a bit of a rush. The aristocrat is a great mild razor, perfect for fast shaving, in fact theres no noticeable difference in the time it takes me to shave with this razor compared to a cartridge razor. Arko performed amazingly, such a great shave stick, and very long lasting. The feather was plenty sharp to cut through all the stubble, definitely a world class blade.
