May 1st CJB Pain Stick w Feather Pro Castle Forbes Lime APShaveCo Flattop/Sapele handle Thayers CL Bon Vivant AS Early morning shave, late afternoon post. Pulled out the oft-neglected Kami-style Shavette (from @Keithmax) for the first day of May. Love the simple Lime scent of this soap (also from @Keithmax). Did 2 passes, but wanted a little touch up and pulled out the ball-end Tech for a little jawline work. One minor nick on the chin, but it stopped easily enough. All is good. Have a great evening, all!
You wrote about it recently in passing as a frustration. For me, the solution was really paying attention to growth pattern, and not "leaning in" toward the mirror. Focus on those, along with angle discipline and great stretches. You'll get it!
It doesn't get much better than a NEW LC in my humble opinion, Jim. Your MonoBilt is one of the few (the only?) OC in my den that can compete.
I remember that razor from last year, Patrick. I also remember that you weren't allowed to access the cutlery drawer any more after that...
No Blade Holder! On May 1! I'm worried to see where you are going to go from there, Jim. Awesome photo, while you still have a jugular...
Jason, great shave, report and picture. I have got to get my Kamisori style shavette out this week. I just need a little more courage. I have shaved with it one time with the cheap blades that came with it but I ordered some Feather Pros for it. We will see how it goes.
Welcome back, Adam! You've been missed. MAYhem wouldn't be the same without your stunts, that's for sure.
Thanks Jason...it turned out better than expected and I love seeing old razors coming back into use. Take care!
Awesome photos, Andrew. Declan is growing well. Do you find the J shaves similarly to the I with the same head? Do handle lengths make a difference?
