Excellent photo and congrats on a mostly blood free pain stick shave, Jason! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Thanks Jason! They shave pretty much identically. I actually prefer the shorter handle of the I because it's a little thicker and easier to hold on to Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
It was a great shave this morning. The MonoBilt will be up in the open comb rotation soon. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Someone who gets my sense of humor sent me this shirt. If you know what this is, post a clip. Wore it during MAYhem shave one.
MAYhem 2019 1 May, MMXIX A.D. Target foam and Racer It doesn't smell like a rain shower. It smells like the tree hanging from the rear view mirror in your great aunt's 85 Caddy, but I digress. The Racer delivered two pass comfy smoothness. I could tell it is not as sharp as a GSB or Feather, and I wouldn't recommend it it new converts. I found myself wanting to apply pressure, and the mild (large cap radius) geometry of the 9306 also played a role. Once dialed in though, it was fine. No blood, drug store prices. I'll take it. Gloomy and raining on the prairie, planning on watching my beloved Denver Nuggets in game two of their NBA conference semi-final tonight. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a great evening and a pleasant Thursday!
Oh yeah! Awesome shave Jason. Its going to make another appearance this year. Actually shaves nice. The cutlery ban is officially over. I'll just be more discreet this year.
MAYhem approved . Nice comparison on the scent btw. Made me spit out my beverage . Damn I miss Patrick Swayze. After he passed away I asked people to stop calling me that name . Respect.
I'm a vintage AS fan and own several Avon's but not this one. After reading a review at my favorite scent site I'll be watching for Bravo! "The smell of Avon Bravo is that of a lighter, slightly fruiter take on Tabac by Mäurer & Wirtz (1959), infused with some typical Avon house notes. The opening is really reminiscent of a banana peel type of smell that I cannot identify as a known note in perfumery. Anyone who has tasted Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum will know what I'm talking about here, and this note is soon joined by heliotrope and geranium in simple fashion. It doesn't take long for a tobacco note recalling the classic Tabac to emerge, but this tobacco note isn't as "out there" since Avon flanks it with amber, oakmoss, and hay-like coumarin, with a peck of musk. Overall, the composition is oddly fruity and musky for something from the end of the 60's, but if this truly was meant for hippies (assuming any actually shaved), then the smell makes sense."
I'm curious about how you gripped the blade. Couple years ago someone posted a video of a street-side barber shaving a customer with a DE blade sans blade holder. My google fu failed else I'd have reposted the link.
