  1. Well I do have the Yakuza branch of the Cartel to keep happy. Besides, I may be a wannabe Czar leading a fake Russian cartel, but I like cheap stuff and I secretly long to live in Canada. So it all works out.
  2. MAYhem on the mild side

SOTD 05012019.gif No fireworks or dancing baloney. Just revisiting some old friends from the hardware stash & my latest fascination in software. Jack @Sparrow has another hand carved asymmetric brush in the PIF section if anyone missed it. Same Louisiana bald cypress in a different shape with the same knot as this brush. It's not a powder puff. Even with as many lathers as I've put it through it's still got some scritch. I count that as a good thing being a boar knot enthusiast. Easy loading of the mutton tallow, briefly worked it in the bowl, and finished lathering on my face. The blade still has an edge so I went with it - 3 passes but skipping the extra clean up. It was a long day and I've just had enough. Scored a small nick on my chin that'll leave a speed bump scab for next shave. No serious burn from the AS, just a nice glow.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
  3. Wow, already more than 230 posts behind. I will catch up later.

Yesterday this brush arrived in the mail and I have to admit I am very impressed. The packaging was cool and first class, the handle looks so foo-foo and is solid. The knot is also excellent.

  4. Brian I pray they find the answer to help your daughter.

Given it is Mayhem I will likely need extra courage so I probably ask some one to hold my soju.
  5. The picture is great, even if the razor wasn't!
  6. Nice picture, Gary!

  14. Great shave and photo. The razor looks great but I understand what you mean by the thick handle.

  15. Neal, great report on the cheapo pain stick. I'll break mine out in the morning with the Feather Pros. Have fun with the generic blades! :signs136: It is May after all.

This morning was certainly a shave of favorites from the hardware to the software. The Tres Amigos brush loaded and lathered the Felce Aromatica with ease. The scent of this soap is just intoxicating. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of the matching aftershave kept the wonderful scent going. I really enjoy shaves like this one. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
  17. Nice one guys.

  20. I've sold some off already. I also have some favorites that will definitely be staying.
Then there's things like the Autostrop. I'm not at all expecting it to become a daily driver. Just curious to try it once.
