    I'm IN for May Mayhem. I had to miss out on most of March/April due to family tragedies and emergencies so slowly ramping back up. I haven't touched a DE razor in more than a month so I gotta get back in the saddle.

    Got this one and a Boker from a fellow I know in TSN. He bought them from SRD, with the intentions of learning, but after one shave gave up. So, this razor WAS originally honed by LA. Funny, huh? I am still waiting on his honing DVD set from @NCoxSTL (this'll get his attention :happy097:) As far as tightening pins, I already f-upped one set of scales, so I am not attempting that in the near future.

    Shaved 99% with the Feather DX today. 2 complete passes, and feels smoother than I usually achieve with any of my DE razors. I only used the Dart to get the stragglers around the edge of lower lip. That area needs to be BBS for me...just an oddity I have. Tried using the DX there, but it's just too much/fragile for my skill set so far. Had a few light weepers on the flat of chin. No real issue navigating like I anticipated for under the nose and around my chin. Alum was mostly silent save for the chin weepers.

    Now....I am shaving entirely right handed. It works easily for me. Brain just can't get in the mode for left hand. One thing...I seem to be more comfortable shaving left side with right hand. I see angles and what I'm doing better. I may try left hand right side tomorrow. Shaving right hand right side is a bit 'off'. Have to really pay attention, more than when shaving left side right hand. Yeah, I'm weird that way. If anyone knows the skateboard/wakeboard term 'goofy foot forward' it totally applies. No skin stretching with my left hand. I watched several different straight razor shavers we all know....and combined all the face, neck, lip, jaw area skin tightening techniques....and have no problems getting it shaved very close (so far, knock on wood!).

    Of course there was a ton of PreShave cream underneath the Ogallala lathered furiously by Zenith on top. SS overkill, but a lot of fun and smells great. Cleaning out some areas of the closet and found the almost full bottle of Nautica. Present from wifey long long ago. Date night tonight...so we'll see if she remembers it (of course she will)....a lady with the memory of a computer on these things.
